Corners cut, price hikes throughout, and a really poor job. Hired these folks to paint the interior of a Class A motorhome. Estimate was $1500 for the front, middle, and rear. Costly, but the reviews were good, so I have them a whirl. I trusted Alec on colors and in retrospect we shouldn't have. Changed the bathroom in the middle from paint to wallpaper due to some water damage to the wall. He skim coated the wall and (poorly) hung the paper anyway. There are visible seams, creases, lines, and poor trimming. The addition of the wallpaper added another $500 to the bill. There are also several spots where the old paper was just painted over and is now separating from the wall. Some places I found paint on the ceiling for days afterward.

You told me you were pleased with the completed work, and enthusiastically voiced that many times. The walls were stripped, repaired and precisely painted. The wallpaper was expertly installed. If it is buckling now, it could be that the repairs you performed on the leaking windows are not correct. I did voice my concern regarding the repairs that you made, when the work was being done. Despite all, your assurances stated they were sound. Perhaps you should get a window professional to look at that. The wallpaper which was installed around the sink area was requested by you—that install was done without an extra charge. Yes, there were monies added to the original estimate all approved by you beforehand. The wall repair and wallpaper install over the badly damaged walls, was approved by you. Another portion of the add-on was because the coach was moved fifty minutes farther from the location at estimate. You kindly offered to cover additional travel time without a request from me to do so. Good luck with your antiquated coach."

His work was very professional. We were very happy with his painting and wallpaper work. Two men completed all the work in three days. My wife and I had purchased the paint and wallpaper in advance of contacting any contractors. The price we paid was for the painting, wallpaper installation and for four light fixtures and their installation. They worked in a very efficient manner and did very good work.
My only complaint was I told him that one 15" x 13" cabinet doors was taken by someone when the water abatement work was done. He said he could get me a matching the kitchen cabinet door at a reasonable price. So I gave him the door so he could match it. He never got the matching door and when I asked him can I get the door I gave him back he said he had given it back. I know that the door was never returned to me. Now I have to find another way get doors that match the existing cabinets.

Alec painted for me on two separate occasions this year. The first time was in March. He was prompt in coming out to give me an estimate and was very helpful with design advice. He performed all the work while we were out of town and he did a wonderful job. He did several things that were over and above what he was contracted to do because he felt that it was necessary. And didn't charge anything extra for these services. After this painting was done, we decided to have a lot of flooring replaced and he offered to come back and touch up everything after the tile work was completed. I had him come back in late October to paint additional rooms. Again, he went over and above, completing additional items just because he knew it needed done and would look better. He is very neat and cleans up everything and returns the furniture just like you he found it. All the work was completed in a timely manner. His prices are very reasonable (I had gotten several estimates before I used him the first time). I would not hesitate to use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone that needs painting done. He has a very good decorating sense and would be very helpful if you needed some decorating advice.

Alec Hritz is a color and design genius and incredibly talented. He did everything from helping me pick out the right colors (mostly he picked because I have no talent in this area) to putting them on the walls of every room in the house. The kitchen cabinets we considered ripping out look amazing after he faux painted them. The man is a genius with a paint brush. He touched up all the trim and a sign on the outside and brought our dull house back to life. He is amazing with design as well and knows in an instant how the furniture should be placed. I had some pieces of furniture that needed "something". He took them and brought them back looking fantastic. They now look superb in our new home. I have his number on speed dial and won't make a design or color decision without him. He's that good.

Alec was fabulous and went far above and beyond our expectations. We can't say enough good things about him and his work. We contracted his painting services, but when we needed other types of work done, not only did he refer us to the other subcontractors (outside of his area of expertise), he even contacted them for us and negotiated prices for us and then followed-up to assure that the work had been finished and was up to his standards (and ours)! His prices were very reasonable and his customer service was absolutely excellent plus! He always kept his promises and delivered on time. WOW! We are so fortunate to have hired him and will absolutely recommend him to our friends and neighbors - we already have recommended him! Thanks again, Alec!

I discovered Alex by inquiring at a paint store in Ft. Walton Beach. I knew nothing about him prior to that and didn't know anyone he had done work for. What a pleasant surprise!! He takes great pride in his work and it's always done to perfection. I consider myself very much a detail person, but he can spot the tiniest imperfection that I would never notice in a million years. In spite of his perfectionistic qualities, he's also incredibly fast. I'm a total novice and have to tape everything before I start painting. In the amount of time it takes me to prepare, he will have the entire job done with perfectly straight lines and without dripping one bit of paint. I can't say enough positive things about Alec and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing these services.

Alec made our home look absolutely beautiful with all of the walls painted and all of the faux finish that he did in our bathrooms and hallway and dining room. My husband and I were so impressed with how nice our house looked after all of the painting and picture hanging in our home. We could have never found anyone else that could have done a better job than Alec. He takes care all of our household repairs.

Short version: Reasonable cost! High quality work! Honest and reliable! Outstanding communication!! Will hire and recommend again and again!
Long version: After just moving out we needed to fix up our old house for selling. At a minimum we needed to replace all the flooring and paint everything. Depending on the price we were also hoping to get a bunch of little things fixed (torn siding, squeaky floor boards, etc.) We had three quotes already and were reluctantly thinking on going with either the low or middle quote (though none of the contractors so far had us very enthused)...when we decided to try one more quote from an Angie's List business (Interior Designer this time) Right from the start Alec the owner of 3 Dolls Interiors showed us that he was passionate about his work. He listened intently and spoke honestly about the proper ways to fix up a house to sell. He had innovative solutions that none of the other contractors even mentioned and had some great suggestions for little things that would help for the sell. After a thorough evaluation/discussion of fixing up our home we both knew he was the right person for the job. Once he started, Alec kept us in the loop via phone, text, or email, on every stage of the process. He adjusted professionally (like when the weather didn't cooperate) and also went out of his way on several occasions to help us out. All-in-all a thoroughly awesome experience and a FANTASTIC JOB! Thanks again Alec! (sorry so late with our review)

-Coordinated flooring install and kitchen counter install. Too many little things to count!

The job turned out fabulous. We are thrilled with the outcome. Throughout the job, Alec pointed out some little things we could do to improve the appearance/functionality of our house. For instance, he noticed our shower rods were scrapping the paint off the wall, so he suggested and then installed the little rubber circle things that stick to the wall and stop the shower rod from scrapping the paint off. He also suggested we replace our one large and bland looking mirror in our bathroom with two smaller, but much nicer looking ones and installed them for us. Alec saw that I am an Ohio State fan and he saw a design on something in our garage and out of no where he suggested we put that design in the middle of our garage floor. I figured something like that would be very pricey, but Alec did it for a very good price. Alec has great ideas that can improve the appearance of anyone's house and they aren't break the bank kind of ideas. I will definitely be hiring Alec again to remove some popcorn ceilings and probably for many other projects. I'm very impressed with this company and will absolutely be hiring them again in the future.

I found Alec on the internet and was nervous about using someone without any references to go on. Once I spoke to him, however, I was confident he was the right person for the job. The wallpaper I had was going to be challenging, but he knew exactly how to work with it. Alec was excellent at communicating when and how he would do the job and answered every phone call I made when coordinating the date to do the work. The finished job is beautiful and I'm so glad I hired hm. Alec also does Design Consulting and he's probably excellent at that, as well. I highly recommend Alec and his work.
