Johnny was my contact person. After emailing and delays on my part we set up the job to be done on 03-04-2019 after five months getting to that point. The workers were Adam (the foreman) and JC his helper in training. They called ahead of time around 9:50am and said they would be at my house in 30 minutes. They arrived at 10:58am. They did a good job replacing 8 fluorescent bulbs and changing from what I had to a more eco friendly bulb that lasted longer, and replacing 7 ballasts and replacing 2 vent fan motors in both bathrooms. I supplied the fan motors and they just charged the labor to install them as well as the labor for the bulbs and ballasts. They finished the job by 2:15pm and said I would be billed. The trainee did one ballasts by himself, and had problems and was taking longer than the foreman did the others, and I joking said "I'm getting the trainee rate aren't I"? Adam said he would make it right with the bill. The bill arrived on 03-15-2019 for a total of $605.00 and a simple description of: Service call to repair kitchen & bath lights and change out bath fan motors. Labor and materials included. Adam & JC. I emailed Johnny in that I wasn't questioning the bill, but wanted it itemized for the price of labor, bulbs, ballasts. After 3 tries to get my answers over 10 days, the email address kept coming back to me with "Fatal Errors", and so I called Johnny on 03-25-2019. He answered the phone and apologized in that they had changed from a .net to a gmail.com account and said he would call me in and hour from his office to get me what I needed. And hour later he did call and said the 8 bulbs were #10.00 a piece, the 5 ballasts were $20.00 a piece, and the balance was labor for 3.5 hours. I told him I thought it was 7 ballasts, and he said he thought the writing of his foreman was a 5, but to not worry about the extra $40.00. I then paid my bill with him over the phone by charging the $605.00 to my credit card of which he emailed me confirmation. When we started the process of setting up the appointment he confirmed in an email on 09-28-2018 that the labor cost would be $100.00 per hour for two men. I've pasted that email but inserted names instead of email addresses as Angie's List does not like email addresses in the summary. ( From: Johnny To: Steve: Sent: 9/28/2018 3:05:54 PM Eastern Standard Time Subject: Re: Electrical Service. Yes, that is correct. 2 Men $100 hr) in a reply from Steve to Johnny (On Fri, Sep 28, 2018 at 12:22 PM Steve wrote: Hey Johnny ,I got your message on my phone answering machine. You said $100.00 per hour for two men.  Is that as you say, or is it $100.00 per hour for both men meaning the expense would be $200.00 per hour to me, or just $100.00 for the first hour of the job? Steve) I then emailed Johnny back thanking him for the credit card email confirmation and said I assumed the 3.5 hours of labor would be $350.00 meaning a difference in $75.00 in labor. I said I felt I should have been charged for 7 ballasts, so accounting for that, could he do a credit card credit for 35.00? Johnny replied in an email his itemized list below: (From: Johnny To: Steve Sent: 3/25/2019 3:19:06 PM Eastern Standard Time Subject: Re: Invoice 8679 from Anytime Electric, Inc. Steve, Labor 3.5 hrs @ $125.00 hr =$437.50 Material $180.00 437.50 + 180.00 = 617.50 Thanks, Johnny) So, from that information the total still doesn't add up to $605.00 that I paid for, and the labor rate quoted to me prior to the job had gone up $25.00 per hour. Because I had already paid the bill and didn't have any leverage I decided not to do another follow up reply and just chalk it up to experience. Maybe the labor price had gone up at the beginning of the new year. The foreman didn't really make it right in my view to the trainee issue. We all know of the markups on materials businesses do. The ballast price seemed fair, but the bulb price of $10.00 was excessive. I priced the bulbs afterwards at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and Lowe's and they were $2.50 - $3.00 each. I've stated above that I would not rehire and had I voiced my opinion before paying the bill, Johnny may have accepted the labor rate he quoted me in 2018, so in the future I may use them again as this was the 3rd since 2010 I used their services, but will re-check out other competitors on Angie's list as well.

I don't have him come to the house because my husband and him have problems. I refer him to everybody else. They have a normal charge but if they went to your grandmas house her charge would be $50 where yours might be $78. That's the kind of people they are. I turned them on to someone who needed electrical and they were right there johnny on the spot. They're awesome.

It was a pleasant experience.  They arrived on time,  were very pleasant,  they worked quickly and efficiently and most important, the clean up was perfect.  It was a messy process going into popcorn ceiling.   A plus  company and process.

The place is over 40 years old and there has been some quick-and-dirty wiring work done over the years, followed by my ill-fated effort to change some wiring to install a couple of new outlets. He had to sort out some pretty convoluted problems. Mark agreed to come within 24 hours, and kept me informed of his progress so I would know when to leave work. When I got home, he had just arrived. Everything is fixed, and he was very fair about charging me.

The company owner and representatives were easy to deal with, prompt and efficient. The estimeate was lower than the competition and was the amount paid in the end. The workers were courtious and professsional and cleaned up after the project. In all, a good experiencce with a small local company.

It was a good experience. The estimating process went well. The workers were on time. They worked diligently through the hot day. They did a good job. They were pleasant to work with and so was the owner. Cole Oliver is the owner. They took credit card as well as check, which was convenient for what I had planned. There was no downside. It was well done. I watched what they were doing. These guys were really good.

They were wonderful. I used them because they were rated so highly in Angie's list and lots of people had given reviews. They came out that very same day and they said that the wiring inside one of the fan was old and it needed to be replaced. I think it was a Friday and I made an appointment for Monday and they came out and put them up. We were just very pleased. It is a family owned business and I like that. They are very prompt, caring and personable. We were just very impressed.

They came, they saw, they conquered.
Basically, let them in and they completed work, cleaned up and locked up. I had hoped to get a video cable run at the same site as the electric outlet in the kitchen, but structural barriers prevented installation without major wall repair. They were good about calling me, discussing options, including potential risks and subsequent repair. We talked and arrived at a short term solution, with follow-up at a later time or with the cable company. Very honest, no sales pitch or over-promising without full disclosure. I really appreciated it as a home owner and DIY weekend warrior. Great customer service!!

They were great. I spent between $700 and $800 on that service. One wasn't perfect, but they came back in a couple of days and made it perfect. I like that they stand behind their work and they want to earn that A plus. They were very sociable and that was what I liked about them. They were very expensive, but they did such a great job that I was prepared to pay them for it. I rather pay extra for great service.

I initially called Neil Brooks who had very good reviews on Angie's List. Mr. Brooks informed me that his father had recently passed away and the funeral was the week I needed to have someone look at my smoke detectors. Mr. Brooks referred me to Anytime Electric and stated that they could probably come out that week. I called and they were able to come out the next day. Mark promptly showed up at my house to look at the smoke detectors which were not functioning properly. The smoke detectors would alarm when they were connected and in order to turn off the alarm you had to disconnect the smoke detectors. Mark determined that one of the smoke detectore were bad causing them all to alarm. He replaced the one detector and the alarm went off. I also asked Mark whether a GFI outlet connected to my refrigerator would cause my food to spoil if it was tripped. He examined the refrigerator and saw how easily it could be tripped and replaced the GFI outlet immediately. I was very pleased with the service and the polite and pleasant personality I experienced with Mark.
