Escar Remodeling

Dealing with Escar remodeling/flooring was the worst experience! Walter came over and met with us and measured our kitchen for a new countertop. He was very pleasant and had his notebook and took notes and measurements. He said the work would start in a week. I kept calling him and texting him to get a date as to when they were going to come out and make the template. He told me they were going to come out on Monday, August 19. On that Monday, walter text earlier and said they were running an hour behind and they would text me when they were on their way. Nobody came. I finally got in touch with Walter. He called me back that night and told me he does not know what happened and that he never had a problem with these people before.He said he would refund my money the next day when he got into the office. I kept calling him because I did not receive the money. He said it takes 7 to 10 days for his bank to process and then he would put it in my account. I contacted the local police on August 26. They called him and he told the police officer that the money goes into his merchant account and it takes 7 to 10 days for the bank to process it and then I would get the money. She told him criminal charges would be pressed if he did not return the money and to call her once the money was refunded to me. After Labor Day, I contacted the officer and told her I did not get the money. This was on Thursday, September 12. On Friday, September 13 she called me and said she spoke to Walter and Walter advised her that his lawyer said not to refund the money. She told him that he did not do the work and criminal charges were going to be pressed against him. Again, he stated that his lawyer told him not to refund the money and he asked the officer to give him until 5 o clock. The officer called him back at 5 o clock and a few times after that and the next day and he was not answering. She then filed a report with the detective to investigate. I sent her the documentation that she requested. I also called the bank and reported a scam on the Zelle transaction. I am waiting for the detective to contact me.
