Other than timeliness, they are really slow with oil changes, they are cheap. They also check other things other than that. You call and you get it scheduled. You show up and they take it right away.

They were good. They dismissed a few things during the process. It wasn't a big deal. We brought it back the next day and they took care of it. One of the tires was not inflated properly. It took a long time, but they all do. They are great there.

I had purchased a new battery from Sears in 2010, and it died right before it went off warranty. I have a Volvo, and the battery that it requires (for international cars) is expensive - more than $200. I took it back to Sears, and they were able to locate my purchase from 3 years prior, and determine that I was still under warranty (with less than a month to spare!).
I had to wait a while for them to replace it, even though there was only 1 car ahead of me. The kid who worked there moved very slowly, and spent the entire time talking to someone on his cell phone (he would have moved more quickly if he had two hands free). But once it was my turn, he was able to replace the battery quickly and I was on my way. And since it was still under warranty, I only had to pay a $3 fee to dispose of the old battery. I was very pleased with that. All in all, a solid experience.

This is not your neighborhood mechanic. They charge way too much and provide only the bare minimum of communication. I do suppose I have the best alternator money can buy - though they couldn't tell me the brand when I inquired about the astronomical charge.
