Tropical View Landscape

Project went well.

I scheduled an appointment for an estimate with the company. Jane did not show up for the appointment and I did not get a call canceling it. After waiting for 1 hour, I called her cell phone. I found out that she was hours away, due to a family emergency. I was very understanding, but I would expect a professional to call and cancel the appointment. I rescheduled the appointment for the following week. For that appointment she was late, but called that she was lost. (My home is very easy to find). With MapQuest and/or a GPS, a person who does home estimates should be able to get around town. This time she was only late. At the time of the estimate, she said that she would have to send over an irrigation person to give her a price on that part of the job and a tree removal person to price out the tree cutting portion of the job. Now I had to be home for two more appointments. Things went fine with the irrigation appointment, however the tree cutting company never showed up for their appointment! They never called to cancel either. I called them and got voicemail. I left a message for them to call me to reschedule it. I never heard from them. I had 3 other estimates from other landscaping companies, and no one else needed to send any other people over to give me an estimate. Tropical View just outsources everything. To make it worse, to this day, Jane and CJ have never bothered to call me or email me. I never got my estimate. Isn't Jane wondering why she hasn't gotten the price yet from the tree company? This company has proven to me that they have no follow through and are very unprofessional. While she was here, she told me her entire life story (which I didn't ask for). I could see that see is spread too thin, doing too many things in her life, that she can't handle the landscaping job very well. I chose a different landscaper from Angie's List, and would NOT recommend Tropical View.

Jane was really nice to deal with and I will use them again in the future.

Jane was very knowledgable about the appropriate plants for the area. She was able to make good recommendations for some key aspects where a little extra money or emphasis can make everything shine, while being very careful to spend wisely overall. CJ and crew put everything in quickly, worked with the sprinkler company to make sure everything was working well together, and made a beautiful home entryway. I have received many positive compliments from neighbors and friends. A great experience overall.
