More than 80 percent of the grass the landscaping 'pro' Angi recommended to re-sod my front yard died within a week after installation. All of it will have to be ripped out and done again. Our Angi recommended technician - Tim - measured the yard wrong and over ordered grass he conceded was not the highest quality. He also managed to cut the cable, leave a full pallet and a half of unused inferior grass on the driveway and did not respond to followup text messages. To his credit, the cable cut was an accident (the yard was marked, but the markers did not mark everything). To his credit, he also came and removed the pallet and a half of grass I paid for but was not used. This, in my opinion, still does not excuse work that makes me sad every time I look at the front yard. Other parts of the yard, including the back yard I did myself - and received the same amount of watering the front yard got - look green and lush now. I should have done the whole job myself, and saved myself $1,600. I never should have hired this company (which specializes in trash removal, not lawn care - even though Angi recommended them for that) if I'd known they were unfamiliar with landscaping. What a disaster! My first experience with Angi-recommended 'pros' will be my last.
