Island City Spas, Pools and Waterfalls

If you look in the dictionary scumbag or crook you will find a picture of Dane and Island City Spas. He took my $1100 dollars and never finished the job. I am a decorated Vietnam Vet with Stage 4 cancer and he still hasn't contacted me or finished the job 12 weeks later. If he comes to your door call the police asap, because your about to get robbed.

First day, he had to replace the motor...which ran for a few hours, but my hot tub wouldn't work when I got home.  When he came with he claimed I needed a new ground fault circuit breaker, that the one I had stopped working.  I got a new one and got it installed.  he finally came 6 weeks after that.  It was too late for me to return the the one I previously purchased because he took so long to get the spa connected again so I was then out $100 because of his lousy excuses!  Then the Motor he brought, didn't fit my spa, so he had to get another one, more delays....the spa was up and running, then kept stopping and wouldn't automatically restart.  He read me the explanation for the code on the panel, and that was useless....stated that the spa was not getting a full flow of water to the heater so I had to clean the filter, however the filter was newly cleaned.  so he said he'd come and look at it.  That was in August 2015, it's now MAY 2016...and I'm still waiting for him to fix in....oh I forgot the last excuse, the guy they got the parts from died in December.  But I'd been waiting for repair since August before that.  So no parts old or new, no refund, only more excuses...he did call once as promised and said he was having his buddy look for the parts....never to be heard of again. 

The man is useless because he doesn't care.  I spent $1500 for a small used tub that was to have a 1 year service and parts warranty.  When I was able to only manually turn it on.  I had to wait for hours for it to be ready to use...so I hardly used it.  When I finally changed the water after a couple of months as suggested.  I couldn't even get the hot tub to heat up.  I've left several message to pick up the hottub and refund me my money....of course I've heard nothing back.

Before all this, I told a client about his used hot tubs, since Dane had previously only been a little slow on the uptake of getting to repairs.  my client purchased a used tub from him as well, of course I told him the price and then Dane gave him a higher price.  At least my clients tub has worked for the last year. 

The guy is a complete rip off....don't rely on anything he says or does.  Find someone else...they may be expensive, but hopefully you will get what you pay  for.  USELESS doesn't Cover it!

Great, timely and professional.

Dane arrived on time and replaced the heating element for our spa. He also found our control panel was not working and repaired it, without having to replace it. He could've taken the easy route and replaced it, costing me more money. I recommended Dane to my coworkers and sent his contact information via my website, Facebook and twitter. A+ Rating as far as I'm concerned!

Dane never finished the job. I called countless times and he canceled countless appointments - but without notice. After three months I finally went with someone else. So I ended up losing a lot of money on this project since he never got my spa working. I've used a number of businesses on Angie's List but this is my only bad experience. And it was really bad. Extremely unprofessional.

Fast, professional, and more knowledgeable than the vendor that sold me the hot tub.  Call this company first!

I needed a repair person to come to my home to look at my spa that was no longer working. I contacted two
other companies before Island City Spas and I did not feel they were professional or knowledgeable of spas.  I
contacted Recreational Warehouse in Pembroke Pines, FL and spoke to their office manager hoping that she would know of a repair person I could call. I was given the name and phone number to Island City Spas.
I called and spoke to Dane Stadnik, the owner of Island City Spas. Dane was with a customer when I called and said he would call me in a few minutes – I was shocked when 2 minutes later my phone rang and it was Dane calling me back. He asked me some questions about the spa and we set up an appointment for the next afternoon.
The next day, Dane called and said he was on his way and arrived just when he said he would. After looking at the spa he
told me the problem and how much it would cost. Dane was able to repair my spa in less than a ½ hour. The price was more than reasonable. I would highly recommend Island City Spas to anyone in need of spa or pool repairs. He is very professional, knowledgeable and his prices are more than reasonable.
It was a joy to find an honest, hardworking company who cares about its customers.
