Very well. We wee very prudent looking for a pool company as the year before another pool company " fixed some hollow points". Joe gave us an honest assessment of the pool the work needed and encouraged us to get another opinion. Shortly after we were in contact with Natasha a true delight to work with. Discount pool & patio had the best price they did spectacular work with our pool, deck and porch.

They did a magnificent job. I am thrilled with the results. I now am proud to show off the patio and pool area. They were fast and completed the job in less than a week. I am particularly happy with the tile work they did, including the mural they installed in the bottom of the pool. The installer is an artist. Does beautiful work. Follow up was timely and results oriented. Guarantee their work.I have referred several people to them.

We met with many companies and took our time to make the right decision.  We decided on Joe, the owner of Discount Pool and Patio.  Trust was a key factor and between our meetings and his A+ rating on the BBB, we knew this was the right choice..  Joe was patient and accommodating and seemed to be priced right .  Communication was good and overall job was done right and on time.
Joe worked well with our other contractor and overall was a pleasant experience.  As with any sizable job, a hiccup here or there may occur and Joe and Natasha (office staff) were pleasantly responsive and immediately addressed any issues and resolved.
Joe introduced new ideas and products to our project that enhanced the overall result.  I would use Joe/Discount Pool again.

Joe and his team of contractors did a FANTASTIC job for us. Joe really worked with us during the proposal and quoting process. His team worked with our own initial design and brought creative ideas to address the steps leading to our dock. Even after running into the usual obstacles of home improvement of unplanned added repairs and required upgrades, he worked with us on the costs. Here is something you don't see every day with a contractor. When his pool group recognized some flaws in the initial pool resurfacing, they voluntarily resurfaced the pool once more without a blink of an eye and at no additional cost.  Joe was always available for us for questions and project phase scheduling. We would gladly recommend Discount Pool & Patio.

I had started working with Joe at least a year in advance of any work being done. I am extremely picky, and wanted everything to be perfect. He was very patient with me and he understood every thing that I was trying to accomplish. I was very hesitant about all the steps, but was reassured over and over how it would look. I did my background checks on him and even spoke to people about their pools and the work. Everyone I spoke to loved him and his work. So I chose Discount Pool and Patio. They were on time, very nice, cleaned up after themselves (since we have a small dog) never left trash or garbage behind. Even though I watched every thing they did with scrutiny, I have never been so please with the results. Everyone raves about our pool and the patio is amazing! The p[rice was outstanding for everything that we needed. Most other places were at least 25% or higher. He delivers!

The first time I met Joe, I was very impressed by the amount of time he took to talk to me and really listen to what I was wanting with my pool. He showed me different things I could do with my pool and brought me lovely samples of different mediums that we could use. He was so professional. They showed up when they said they would, were very courteous. The finished when they said they would and made sure all the I's were dotted and T's crossed. Every little detail was done.If I wanted something changed, Joe was right there to help me it. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful pool.

I just purchased a new house and needed to have the pool and pool area updated.  Since the home was over 20 years old nothing had ever been done and it needed plenty of work.  I went online and found Discount Pool and Patio and checked some of the online reviews. Since the reviews came back favorable, I decided to call.  I was able to speak to Joe Wise, the Owner and Founder.  We set an appointment for him to come out take a look. 

Joe showed up on time (a rarity when dealing with contractors in South Florida) and was very knowledgeable and professional.  He explained many of the various options I had and did not try to "oversell" the project.  Since this was the first pool I ever owned,  I wasn't really sure what had to be done.

I received an estimate for the work the next day and decided to move forward with the project.  I went down to the showroom to select the tiles and pavers and was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff.  The selection was large so I had many choices within my estimated budget. Natasha Niehoff, the office manager, was very patient and took as much time as needed with my wife and I to make sure we were happy with our selections.

Once the permits were pulled,  the work began immediately.  The Discount Pool staff showed up when scheduled and actually completed the work under budget and a day earlier than anticipated! 

I can't say enough about this company and the positive experience I had dealing with all the staff.  Kudos to Joe and his team for making this a very pleasant experience.  My guests always comment on the pool area when visiting and I have gladly passed on Joe's contact information to them if asked.

My wife and I had been wanting to renovate our pool and patio area for several years. We were hesitant due to the many horror stories we have heard about this type of renovation. We did extensive research and found Discount Pools and Patios on Angie's list, and we noticed the great ratings they received for their service. When Joe arrived at our property he did an excellent job of explaining the process and they types of services his company provided. He worked with us to resolve some issues we had particular to our property and was very accommodating to our needs. They also worked  with us on price to meet our budget. Discount Pools was very easy to work with throughout the whole process. Once we decided to proceed we worked with Natasha in the office to chose our final products. She was very helpful during the design process and throughout the renovations she was outstanding. All of their workers were very professional and accommodating throughout the process. They listened attentively to our concerns and worked with us to address any issues we may have had.  All of the workmanship was done in a neat and professional fashion. The quality of the workmanship was also outstanding. We are very happy with the renovations. I look forward to working with them again on future renovations.

They're quick to respond and they do an excellent job. They were clean and let me know if I had any questions or issues to give them a call. The price was great too and the best I found.

Joe Wise, the owner of Discount Pool and Patio came to our home to do the initial consultation and gave us great recommendations. He then had to quote the job a few different ways to match our budget to our wish list. We went to the showroom to pick our materials and Natasha, his assistant was so nice and helpful. Once the process started his guys were on time, professional and did very thorough work. It was great to come home each night and see the progress. They kept me informed along the way on when they would be back and what was scheduled to be worked on. We install a salt system (which I would recommend to everyone) and they did such a great job on the pump and install! I couldn't be happier with the final product.
I LOVE MY POOL

First and foremost I have to compliment Natashia Niehoff. She's the office manager and one very nice person. I was quite surprised at how knowledgable she is about the overall pool repair and remodeling business. She had great communication skills, took the time to help me pick out tile, directed me on the most current trends, and above all was responsive to my needs and concerns.   
As for the work itself, we got off to a slow start because of the weather here in South Florida. We origionally planned the the project at 5 days during the first week of June. Mother nature however, had other plans and simply got in the way. Despite heavy rains, the crews set up by Natashia worked in between raindrops and moved the project forward. The original 5 day plan turned into 10 days but when it was all finished, the pool simply looked great. And the men on the crews? Great guys. Very friendly, willing to  talk and provide advice and quite amusing.  They did a great job and I had some fun with it along the way. A few minutes before I began inputting this review, I was in the yard marvelling at how well this all turned out.
I can tell you as the director of facilities maintenance for a large corporation with over a million square feet of leasehold space, I've had my fair share of issues with contractors so I have a certain level of skepticisim  when I begin major refurbishment projects. This project was no different in my approach except it was my home. I can say without hesitation that I would use Discount Pool and Patio again and would recommend them to any one who wishes to ask my opinion.

Everything went exactly as promised and the outcome was great.

It went well, Joe came out and gave us our estimate, we set a start date with Natasha his office manager and picked our tile and coping, Natasha was wonderfull as she guided us through all the various options of color and materials. The workers were on time, professional, and always willing to answer any questions we may have had.  
Let me also say that the pool was a disaster when we started, it had been left unattended for 6 months and had the original surface from 1978, calling it a swamp would have been an insult to swamps!
Now my pool is an OASIS that my family and I enjoy daily! Joe did that for US!

In an effort to help improve my property I elected to remodel my pool. With the help of Joe Wise and his staff at Discount Pool Service the effort and expenditure paid off in numerous ways. The appearance of the back yard transformed from a old yellowed pitted pool surface with horrible brown tiles to brilliant sparkling-blue water complimented by blue tiles.  Not only did the remodel help with the appearance of the home, the return on investment was outstanding.  I estimate for the nominal expense of the new pool light, surface, and filter system, my sale price increased by at least $75,0000.  The home sold immediately for near my asking price. The buyer's lender’s appraiser remarked about how beautiful the pool looked and valued the property higher than the buyer was paying for the home. Secondly, as for aggravation in the pool remodel, there was none.  Joe’s staff kept to a strict schedule.  As soon as one team finished the next was prompt to begin their work, always with a smile and accommodating. Not a moment was lost.  When told the marcite prep crew would be there at 8am on Tuesday, they showed up at 8am sharp Tuesday. 
This was consistent for each stage of the job, a level of professionalism seldom exemplified in today’s service industry.  In particular, Natasha at Discount Pool Service was a pleasure in holding my hand through the process. The single best investment I made in selling the home was, unmistakably, the remodel of the pool and decking. We purchased a home that had been abandoned for several years. Our pool was full of gunk and wood boarded over. We needed help right away. We searched online and called 3 companies.  Discount Pool and Patio's owner Joe Wise came right over (he was the only one who responded). We agreed to a price and immediately felt he  "had it under control". He scheduled a pool restoration crew right away. Within two days, the pool wooden cover was pulled and discarded, the pool was cleaned, and had water. All pipes were checked, and confirmed, a new pool heater (wired and all) with a salt water system was neatly installed next to our pump. Our kids were swimming before we had our boxes unpacked. Shortly thereafter, I realized the Chattahoochee deck that was coming up. I called Joe and again, he came right over, gave us several samples and ideas, we made our choice for light colored brick deck tiles. Within a few weeks the service was done and we now have a backyard  the takes my wife's breath away.  Their service was impeccable, their pricing was well within our budget and the quality was perfect.  

After soliciting three bids, Discount Pool & Patio seemed to be the better value. 
The first project in October 2013 was to resurface the pool's diamond brite and install pavers over the old urotile patio.   The project started and finished on time.   I was impressed with the early morning start and attempts to work through the rain when possible.  The quality of the work varied.  The paver team did an excellent job - even working detailed cuts to accommodate the existing hurricane shutters.  We were pleased enough to have the same company/team work the driveway project.  The diamond brite team finished in a timely manner but the workmanship could have been better.   At night when the lights are on the finish isn't smooth - looks like the shallow end of the pool has a wavy bottom.  This bothered my husband so we called Joe, the manager, who came out and worked with us to come to an agreeable solution.  We asked for a minor discount on the work and settled it. 
The driveway project took place in January 2014.  The team worked effectively and efficiently and I couldn't be happier with the driveway.  The only delays experienced had to do with the local government inspections.   Keep in mind that is part of the timeline/process.  
The strengths of Discount Pool & Patio lay with Joe Wise, the owner/manager, and Natasha, the office manager.  Both are professional, personable, and punctual individuals who work with and listen to the customer.  I actually wish I listened to them more!   When I explained that my husband and I wanted to keep the exiting tile and coping, Joe recommended we at least change the tile because it will look more worn when the new items are installed.  He was right - we kept the old tile and it looks a little more worn against the new pool and patio.   Regarding paver color, Natasha was very patient with me as I changed my mind once or twice.  She advised that I stick to the original selection but I changed my mind.  I do like the final results, but she may have been on to something with her recommendation.  In both cases, they did not push me - they attempted to educate and guide me, but in the end they respected the customer's decisions.  I recommend you listen to them if you work with them - they know what they are doing!  They are also fair and honest.  They were a pleasure to work with.

Joe, the owner gave me the quote.  I got approximately 5 quotes and most were comparable in price but each had their own opinion on what I wanted and needed done.  I wanted to re diamond brite my pool since it was 12 years old and some discoloration started to appear.  I needed some pavers around my skimmer area fixed as they had sunk over the years.  The difference of opinion by the contractors came in about my coping.  There were a few pieces that were lose but not damaged.  I wanted to fix it instead of replacing it to keep my cost down.  I had 5 different opinions on wether to replace or just fix the coping.  I decided to replace it since I did not want to take the chance of having a problem with it in the future.  Joe was professional and the timing of the job went as promised.  He did not do the work himself, as he had different men for each part of the process.  All of the work crews were professional and my pool does look GREAT!  Now lets see if the product holds up.  I would recommend Joe and Discount Pool and Patio.  The office staff was very professional and on top of all of my questions and issues.  Thanks!

They were fabulous. It was easily the best price around. I went in to his showroom in Sterling Road and they have fabulous service, fabulous answers. We were working in conjunction with the construction company who was building the patio but didn't do pavers. The construction guy really doesn't really want to be held up when it's time to do the pavers and we wasted four days but  Discount Pool & Patio said, "You call me and I will have somebody there," and that's what he did. He did it and they did a beautiful job

The work was done beautifully and at the agreed upon price.  There was a problem initially with the tile work, and the owner, Joseph Wise, had the workers remove the tile and start all over again.  It was only considered complete when we were totally happy with it. It completely changed the appearance of our back yard and pool area for the better.
