When you hire him, you're basically hiring someone who is a thief. He did a job that he thought would take a week and a half but ended up taking 6 weeks and we had to live in a hotel during this entire process during the busy season in Florida at our own expense. There must have been a disconnect between him and the subcontractors he hired to do the work. He was not very organized during our project. They never got the right permits, so they ended up putting soundproofing down under the flooring that didn't meet condo standards. It was just chaos the whole time- you never knew if they were going to show up or not, they were no call, no shows half the time. Harold was a very nice person, but it took way too long and cost us a lot of money. Also, we paid in full to Harold and 6 weeks after the work was completed, the subcontractor he used called us saying that he had to put a lien on our house because Harold never paid them. My advice would be to use a more reputable company.

I had a poor experience with Harold Monblatt who took my deposit for a kitchen remodel. After 6 months of not properly obtaining a permit, he took my $11K deposit and keys to my condo then disappeared. I suggest staying away unless you also want to lose your deposit.
