St Andrews at Winston Park Apartments

Well, where do I begin. For all of you Angie's users out there, please do not rent at this place or let anyone you care about rent from this place. St. Andrew's at Winston Park apartments has reputations on poor management. There's breed restriction on dogs?on paper but not in reality. You see people walking their restricted breeds of dogs up and down the complex like no one's business. There is assigned parking but people just park anywhere they want, that includes the space in front of your garage that you spent extra money to rent. When maintenance service calls were placed regarding broken A/C system, they categorized it as "emergency" but will not get to it until afternoon (when the call was place at 6:30 am) in the 92F heat. They never return phone calls nor do they do anything to make sure the complex is well maintained. Their customer service representative are friendly ONLY when you are there visiting and signing the lease. After that, you are on the wait list for eternity since they never call you back. Neighbors were witnessed using drugs on their balconies. Drug deals made in the complex parking lot late at night (10ish) when I walked my dogs. I tried to reach the district manager after several unsuccessful attempts to resolve our issues about parking, and the frustration with management in the leasing office. I was told to drop off 2 months worth of rent and the key the day I want to break my lease and no question will be asked. If you call their customer service at cooperate level, there is answering machine that told you if you do not leave your full name and number and leasing info and location and a detailed message, your phone call will be discarded. You can try it yourself 1-312-474-1300. The leasing manager from this property told me that she has a life outside of this job and that her family comes first since she has kids late. She told me that the residents need to be more understanding at the fact that people have life outside of this complex. Unfortunate, right now, this is my home outside of my work. I have to come back after a long day at work to this h*** hole they neglected. Please don't rent here. All they care about is that you pay your rent on time every month and nothing else. I wish someone had told me so before I moved in.
