First I would say that no matter who your intake person is, the customer service person that you meet out front, I've done this in their surveys. My problem with it is that once you give them your car and whether you wait or come back, you never see that person again. So if you have questions, there's nobody to ask, The cashier doesn't give a s###, she's there to cash you out. There's all this gibberish on a page, and it's like, what exactly did you do here. So what I told them was every customer rep, cause you tend to have the same one if possible, they need to touch base with the customer after the service is done and walk thru what was done to confirm that there's the right charges, etc etc. There is a lack of communication on the back end between the customer rep and the customer.
They are doing other intake, but if they want to improve the relationship, I write this on their survey every time, I wanna talk to the guy who's my rep and he can take 2 minutes and run thru what was done, if I have any questions, etc etc. All I've got is a bill with bizarre codes on it and the cashier is not going to answer any questions. It's not her fault, it's a step they are missing on the back end, and it's extremely difficult to find your rep.
Effectively, this dealer is automatically adding hundreds of dollars to the negotiated price of every vehicle purchased, in addition to the dealer prep fees.
This is not disclosed until the final contract is being signed, and then only if you read the fine print. When my mother questioned the fee ($800+), the Finance Manager told her it was and quot;filing feesand quot;.
After the transaction, I personally called and spoke with the Internet Sales Manager, who was very rude and stated that my parents should be happy with and quot;the deal they gotand quot; and that they should have read the contract.
While it appears this practice is not currently illegal, it is material to the final sale price of the vehicle.
After meeting with Al Hendrickson Jr., this situation was resolved to my parents' satisfaction. I was truly amazed at Mr. Hendrickson's responsiveness and willingness to work toward a resolution.
Mr. Hendrickson further agreed to internally speak with his Finance staff to ensure customer questions are answered honestly and completely during the contract transaction.
While I still disagree with the sales approach, I am very pleased with the resolution.

Brand dealerships usually charge more since they have overhead expenses that a small independent shop may not have. However, when you charge more than what competing dealerships charge or greater than what is recommended by the manufacturer guidelines that is a real integrity problem or maybe just greed. Later I found out that the Hendrickson disservice managers are paid on commission so Hendrickson management pays incentives to maximize the invoice promoting what I consider to be unethical and dishonest business practices. Sure they tell you the price before and you have the option to accept or not but that is not the point. The point is I would never trust what this dealer recommends or that their quotes are fair and reasonable and in line with other businesses that do this work, Had I and quot;trustedand quot; this dealer and not gone to great lengths beforehand to gather the repair cost information I was really open to being overcharged. I still feel that they overcharged me and took advantage of a distressed person in need of help.
I try to use Dr. Brakes in Coral Springs. I am not affiliated at all with Dr. Brakes. The owner Ron just has integrity unlike this dealership. They do excellent work at fair and reasonable prices. Never try to upsell a job for additional or unnecessary work, to the contrary, several times Ron indicated I could wait on getting some work done. You know what, I had all the work done without waiting.
