Several companies advertise they repair hot tubs, however, this is my experience
First guy only answered after 20 rings, then aswers "WHAT!?"When I asked him if he repairs hot tubs he said, I dunno, what ya got? and then said he may could get to it by August, 2 months later.
Second, they have an answer machine only and it hangs up and does not take messages.
Third, no answer at a;;
SO finally I found this company which I feel is your BEST BEST BEST option for hot tub repair in Brevard County,
Truly Grateful to Angie and Pristine Pools
"Thank you for the drink and I hope your cookie business is taking off!"
"You guys were so nice. I really hope you enjoyed your cruise and I hope you go on plenty more! By the way since we both like dukes mayo I just want you to know that I tried the light kind with olive oil and it is now my Favorite :)"
During the bidding process Matt was as nice as could be. He promised to do whatever it takes to make me happy. He gave me a "90 days no questions asked warranty" in writing. He had good reviews on Angie's list, so I thought I would give him the job. Matt did not do any of the work himself. He used a contractor. He promised to check up on the work regularly to make sure it went well.
The first step was to drain the pool. I live on a golf course. Pool water is not good for grass. They drained the pool to my back yard (golf course) instead of to the street. Why? Lazy I guess. That was an omen of what was to come. During the resurfacing I noticed the contractor had not replaced the bull-nosed tile (on the steps) according to the contract. When I asked him, he said it was close to the color of the new (flat) tile being installed and didn't need to be replaced. I told him no, I paid for new tile and expected new tile. It seemed like I was supervising the contractor, not Matt.
The pool deck got quite dirty during construction. I was assured it would be power washed before painting (2 coats of ICT's Color Seal H2O Pro). I was surprised when I came home after work and the deck was painted. The day before it was still very dirty. They later claimed it had been washed, then dried and 2 coats of paint (all in one day?). The deck is very large.
I noticed that the cantilever coping was not flush with the deck in all areas. I called Matt to take a look at it. When I showed him the problem he said it was because the pool deck was not level and the new cantilever was (as if that was my problem). He asked me if I wanted to make the cantilever flush. I said "of course", who wouldn't want it flush? Their fix was to grind the areas that were not flush. In the process of grinding, lots of dust was thrown into the pool on the brand new surface (filled with water). When they repainted the areas that were repaired, paint was spilled into the water and stained the surface. They did nothing to clean out the mess. That was my job.
About 2 weeks after the deck had been painted, I moved my plastic deck furniture back onto the pool deck. As I drug it across the deck, I noticed paint was peeling off from the friction. I called Matt. He came out to look. He called the manufacturer who told him it takes 28 days for the paint to fully cure. Matt didn't know that and had not told me. Matt touched up the missing paint. I told him I thought the paint had been applied to a dirty or wet deck and did not adhere properly. He had the manufacturer do a test of the installation (I was not present). Matt said it passed, no problem with the paint. I waited a month to move furniture back. I had the deck power washed and paint came off in many places. Matt came back and told me I shouldn't have had the deck power washed. I said it was over the 28 days "fully cured" point and power washing should not be a problem. He touched up the missing paint. I am still seeing paint scrape off in small amounts when I move furniture. Matt gave me some touch up paint after I asked him. I am afraid to power wash the deck or move furniture. I had the deck painted about 7 years ago and I never had any problem like this. Also, if I spill chlorine on the deck and let it sit, it will stain the deck (this was never a problem with my prior paint job).
I noticed the pool surface was turning gray in spots. I called Matt. He didn't know what it was, but had a rep from Florida Gem come out. The rep said it was scale (calcium). I had to buy expensive chemicals and drain the pool part way to add fresh water. Matt said this was because I had not followed the instructions properly with the new surface. I had followed the instructions. Could it be that all the dust and paint from the grinding they had done caused this? Matt wouldn't do a thing to correct this problem. I had to fix it.
I noticed small cracks on the cantilever. Matt said that hairline cracks are normal. I can fill them with paint. I count 13 cracks. Some are hairline, some are larger. Again, my problem.
Lastly I noticed a whitish film on the paint in areas around the cantilever. Looks like frosting. I asked Matt. He said it is just dirt that will wash off. It doesn't wash off. Again, my problem.
Seems like almost every issue was either my fault or not his responsibility. This is in spite of the "no questions asked" warranty.
I could go on with other issues, but you get the idea.
Matt is a nice person but lacks knowledge and experience. He is very black & white on problems. If he feels it is not his problem, case closed. The facts will not sway him. He claims to give good service but defines it from his perspective, not the customer's.
If you use him for this kind of work, good luck. You were warned.
"It has taken me a long time to respond to this review because I originally sent all the evidence I have that refutes everything that is written in this statement to Angies List. I have before and after pictures, emails, notes taken from our conversation, attorney letter, the Inspection report from the city of Melbourne and I brought in specialists that performed nationally recognized tests on this customers Deck. After all this time I am now going to try to re-establish my profile on here and therefore would like to respond to this review. First off I contacted the city of Melbourne and they instructed my to put his swimming pool water in the water runoff area that was in between his house and the golf course. The city instructed me that the street drain went to the local fresh water pond and I could not put his pool water there. The Mr. and Mrs. did dispute the fact that the deck was pressure washed and that is the only true statement in his review. The deck was pressure washed and the product was applied according the the manufacture standards. Someone either the Mr. or Mrs. dragged and I mean dragged the furniture on the deck before the deck had a chance to cure. This damaged the paint job and I personally came back and repainted those areas. Then the Mr. told me that he pressure washed his deck himself after the curing process and removed paint from his deck again. I told the Mr. that you have to be careful with a pressure washer because you can write your name in concrete with them. I took pictures of not only the paint removed but also the texture too. That is how hard the pressure was. I came back personally and repainted all of the areas that the Mr. damaged. I did all this while the Mr. held the final payment from me. The Mr. told me that he would give me the money if I would give him a warranty on the deck. The Mr. was trying to extort me with the final payment. That was not in our agreement nor does any other company give a warranty on paint on a deck. I personally gave free of charge sealant that costs over $500.00 with diamond dust to the Mr. for his worries. I would not do any more work on his property after all the trouble I had with this customer and I cannot support my family working for free. I personally made sure his pool deck and swimming pool was sharp and I have pictures to prove it. Here are links to my website where you can view them. You just copy and paste them into your browser. https://mypristinepool.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/2-3-13-003.jpg https://mypristinepool.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/2-6-13-009.jpg https://mypristinepool.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/2-6-13-007.jpg https://mypristinepool.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/2-6-13-001.jpg This was the first time I encountered a person like this. There are far worse events that happened in which I received threats and more damage to the job, but I feel this long response is enough for a homeowner to look at and make an honest opinion. The bottom line is that I gave the Mr. an opportunity to go to court and bring this matter before a judge. On the day that I had scheduled to file the lawsuit the Mr. paid me the final payment and I looked it a mirror and saw I had sprouted gray hairs all along the sides of my head."
"Thank you."
