Nightmare. Picked out tiles and cabinets in 4/21 Owner came out 9/21 to start gave him payment on 9/25/21 and he was supposed to come back out in 2 weeks to finish job. It is now 2 1/2 months later and he will not return phone calls e-mailed or texts. When he took this job he knew that my husband is a disabled veteran and needed this bathroom remodel ASAP He has left us with no water in the sinks and the shower leaks he painted the walls and only gave 1 coat when he was paid for 2 coats baseboards are not finished cabinets have no handles on them and are damaged I could go on and on. It really upsets me that we trusted this contractor and he has taken our money and not going to finish the job he was paid for. To do this to seniors and disabled veterans is such a crime. I don’t know how long it will take us to save up enough money to repair his mess. STAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.

Excellent work. Very professional. Came when they said they would. Finished entire townhouse in a few days. Took away all old carpet and left area very clean. I would definitely recommend Four Star Flooring to anyone. I would definitely use them again.

4 Star was very responsive during the estimate and collection of money, the install went well but it was never completed. I can understand if a company is busy but the frustrating part is that when no one returns phone calls a month after the install and payment to let you know if or when the work will ever be completed. Very unprofessional and would never hire this company again. A simple returned phone call to say they are behind in scheduling but would be out in a week or two is all that we expected, now I need to hire another company to finish the work that they did not.

I have used Four Stars, and I like them very much. I have had a good experience with them. They were on time, professional, and did a good job. I did not do much shopping around for price, but I think they gave me a pretty good price. Something I had to remind them to do. Just a little thing.

I ordered the flooring at the beginning of October, and they didn't even get it ordered until after I called several times to check. It wasn't until January that they came out to install it, and it wasn't even exactly what I ordered. A month later, I noticed several dents in the floor. I went to get some furniture safety devices. Even with that, my floor started to separate at the seams! I was asked to take pictures of it. I sent them over and never heard anything back. I have left messages over and over. In August (8 months later) John came out and said he didn't appreciate my review online. I told him I would take it down so he would fix it. As it stands right now, there are still some dents in the floor and the floor is still separated. They don't live up to their promises. Before anyone buys anything from this company, get everything in writing that they will fix any problems within a certain amount of time. They need to stand behind their product.

John is a professional.His measurements are so exact there was very little extra carpet leftover.Cathy helped me pick out the carpet and carpet pad and it is exactly what I wanted. The old carpet was hauled away and not left on my curb.They cleaned the concrete slab before installing the new carpet. Installation went quickly.John and Justin returned and installed new baseboards for me in the three bedrooms.. Again they cleaned up any mess and I couldn't be more pleased with Four Star Flooring

Very good service. Price was better than most other flooring store estimates. Quality of sevices performed were very good. John was on time and completed the job within the schedule that he gave.

He came, gave me a reasonable estimate , came on time and, most amazing, did the sanding and refinishing without blowing sawdust all over my house!  Nice man, obviously experienced and competent.

My late mother had hardwood installed in this home several years ago. Four Star flooring allowed me to take home large samples to determIne a match. I returned on a Saturday to make my selection. Four Star flooring said they would be at the house on Monday to measure. They arrived promptly at 9am. I wanted three inch flooring to match the existing floor. Four Star Flooring found me an almost perfect match. eThey were very punctual. The father and son of this family owned business were very professional and personable during the entire process. I am a very picky person, and I was exceptionally pleased from beginning to the end with Four Star Flooring. Service included removing furniture, carpet, and padding - at no extra cost! I would not hesitate to recommend Four Star Flooring.

I went into their showroom which had just recently moved from a different location and was greeted by the owners wife.  She was very helpful in choosing designs and let me take home numerous samples.  The owner John came over a few days later and gave us a quote that was at least 30% cheaper than anyone of the 4 additional quotes received.  
John and his son came in and did a perfect job.  Very nice family business, something to be said about family business's. I

John Chetta owner of Four Star Flooring was hired to install Metroflor vinyl planks in our woman?s club for a total of $9765. This product was chosen because it had a 15 year commercial warranty. Mr. Chetta proceeded to install the flooring over an existing Masonite sub-floor at his own recommendation. When large soft bulges appeared in the flooring, the outlines of the sub-floor making ridges in the new flooring and some seams not sealing properly (which he was unable to fix) we asked Mr Chetta for a copy of the warranty which included installation instructions.   It clearly stated that the flooring should not be installed over hardboard or Masonite. We then called the manufacturer who told us that this would void the warranty and cause the flooring to "delaminate". When this was discussed with Mr Chetta he began using profanity and called me a filthy name. At this point $6500 had been paid to Mr. Chetta. A company rep was requested to examine the floor installation. When he arrived he brought Mr.Chetta and his son with him. When the rep had finished taking pictures and observing the installation, Mr Chetta demanded that we pay the balance. I replied that we would wait for a report from the company and also until we had some type of warranty in writing. Mr. Chetta and son then began RIPPING UP THE FLOORING. The company rep made a hasty exit. The police were called to remove Mr. Chetta and son.
Mr. Chetta was belligerent throughout the installation process, did shoddy work, the entire floor will need to be replaced, and the company claims no responsibility. we would recommend extreme caution for anyone considering Four Star Flooring

They were very nice and very knowledgeable at their showroom and helped us pick outour products.  They started their job on time and worked like crazy to get the tile up and laminate and carpet installed.  They also replaced the baseboards throughout the common areas as well.  They did have to order a baseboard for a curved area that we were told would take a week to come in.  No worries.  So they finished up the installation and everything looked wonderful!  They really did do a great job putting in the laminate and the gentleman who installed the carpet did a great job as well.  And I paid them the remainder of the fee.  However, after the remaining baseboard came in, it took them over three weeks to come back and install it.  I was told they had a bigger job they were working on they would come as soon as they can.  I told them that we were a big job for them and they didn't finish ours.  Within a week, they came back to install the last baseboard and replace 5 laminate planks that were scratched by the painters.  It was pouring rain that day and instead of drying off the baseboard before painting it, they painted it wet and it's all streaky.  Four Star Flooring painted it, not the painters.  They were in such a rush, they couldn't be bothered to dry it off before painting it.  Now, we are having issues with the carpet getting fuzzy and having pulls in it, but I can't get a hold of anyone at the showroom or on John's cell to call me back about getting it fixed.  Four Star Flooring really does do a good job installing flooring, but their responsiveness is horrible which unfortunately makes their professionalism horrible as well.  Buyer Beware because once they receive their payment, they have no incentive to follow up, respond, or even come and fix something for which they are responsible.

We started out in the big box stores (you know who they are). After being told that it would cost over $ 14,800.00, we decided to ask around and we were referred to Four Star Flooring.  The best referral we've ever gotten. Not only were we able to afford the flooring taht we needed it didn't cost $ 14,800.00 plus. The price we paid for our entire home was a fraction of the cost the big box stores wanted and the workmanship was excellent I have no complaints. I want every flooone to know, I would never go to a big box store again.  Four Star Flooring worked on one room at a time, moved all the furniture, doors, and fixtures as needed and put them all back after the room was finished. We did some research and obtained a couple of estimates for our project. We accepted Four Star Flooring's proposal because it's a family owned and operated, has been around for 20 years and its estimate came within our budget. We signed a contract and paid for the hardwood order in mid Nov. 2012 but installation did not start until 2 months later and finished quickly. Part of this delay was due to the Holiday schedule and slow delivery of materials from the manufacturer/distributor. We now have a beautiful hardwood floor and are very pleased with it. What we liked were a) They did NOT charge extra for removing & disposing old carpet, b) They carefully removed the existing base moldings and put them back after installing the hardwood. This produced a clean and professional look. Other installers do not want to remove the base moldings and just put a footer molding on the existing ones, which would not look as nice. c) They worked on one room at a time, moved all the furniture, doors and fixtures as needed and put them all back after the room is finished, d) Their price was very reasonable. They tend to be fairly busy, so it may take longer to get a project started but the end result is worth the wait.

Price for materials and installation is competitive.  Responsiveness to questions, and  phone calls is very poor. I ordered hardwood in January after John came out to provide his expertise on the method of repair and suggest alternatives.  His advise was excellent and definitely appreciated.  After the hardwood order was placed the responsiveness went from great to very poor.  Cathy did not call me when flooring arrived at the shop nor were telephone calls returned with questions about flooring needs during renovation. Per John and Cathy's request, I was to call when I had a two week window for installation. 
 I made that appointment  as they requested; it was scheduled for 4/1/13.   I called to confirm the appointment on 3/29/13 and then again on 3/30/13 with no return phone calls.  On 3/31/13  John called stating he could not make that appt. as he was had not realized Monday was April 1st.  The installation date was moved to 4/3.  I inquired who would be coming for the installation.  He told me himself and his sons.  John Sr. did not do the installation himself as he had stated over the telephone, his sons did.  They were responsive and accommodating while here although late in arrival time.
Also, since January  I requested a flooring repair for some hollow areas in the living area from the previous installation.  I was told it would be done at the time of the installation.  I confirmed this with Cathy several times as a repair kit was required to make this happen.  The repair is still not completed.   John Jr. and Justin went to get the repair kit from their distributor on the day of installation and it was not available. 

The floor has been installed and the workmanship was outstanding.  John Chetta works with his two sons who are lovely young men.
We had a lot of unusual requirements since our layout has many angles and we had a large built in the floor flower box that we wanted filled in and floored over plus we had to have tiles removed before the flooring could be installed.  Everything was done to perfection with no problems.
