Usually, I only give low marks for poor customer service. The people at Brevard Marine Service seem honest, friendly and laid back. The problem is that they never could fix my boat -- after many repeated attempts. Granted, boat problems are often very difficult to troubleshoot and fix. Unfortunately, I (the non-expert) can throw parts at a problem and eventually fix it. Paying an "expert" to go through the same expensive trial and error approach doesn't earn anything more than a C or D rating. Boat never was repaired by them. Stumped.

The best thing I found about Brevard Marine Service is that they are honest. I knew what the problem was with my steering but had other repair services tell me that I would need a complete new steering cable. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. I will bring my boat to them again when I need service even though they are in another town.

I hadn't had this boat serviced since purchased new in 2004. Brevard Marine initially told me that they were backed up with work and would not be able to start the job for at least two weeks. I needed the work done, so I left the boat with them. I was pleasantly surprised when about half way through the second week, they notified me that the work was complete. They also attempted to solve an issue with 3 instruments not working. They troubleshot the instruments and searched for possible replacements. They ultimately suggested that I send them back to the manufacturer for repair. My initial reaction was one of disbelief, but further research on my part revealed that their suggestion was the best choice. They did extensive research on this problem and did not charge to provide me with the most cost effective solution.

Front desk was very helpful when I arrived. Since it was their last workdays before a holiday break they went out of their way to get my boat back to me before they closed. The man servicing the boat was thorough and contacted me for approvals on anything he thought we should have done when it was not on my list. He also provided options to fit any potential financial/budget concerns.

He's friendly, knowledgeable, and a good worker. He is local and has been in the area for many years. I would recommend him to a family or friend. He gets the highest ratings and I will continue to use him in the future.
