ALL DISCOUNT TILE

We were out of town when the job started. The balcony had started leaking water through when it rained so it needed sealed and re-tiled. Before the job started he wanted half of the money, which we mailed. When the job was finished he called and said he had not received the original check and needed us to wire him the remaining balance which we did. Our renters took pictures and sent them to us. The tile job was so bad we had to get it repaired. They tiled up to the railing and stopped so under the railing and to the edge of the balcony was the old tile. They laid the new tile over the old tile. There was no sealant (Red-Guard) under the tile they laid. They didn’t grout the tile by the railing. They didn’t tile up to the door, it was left un-tiled. I called and spoke to the owner and he said that was all they could do. I told him it would still leak and he said they had put the Red-Guard sealant on so it would not leak, which we found was not true. The job they did would not have solved the problem as the tile they left without grout would have leaked. I believe this was the worst tile job I’ve ever encountered. I have attempted to contact them several times since but to no avail now that he has been paid. So on top of what I paid him I had to pay to more to have his job repaired.
