I contacted John Orban the principal of this Grout Doctor operation on late Monday afternoon Nov 16 and he was able to come by that very same evening and review the job. He provided an estimate and I agreed to hire him and a work date was scheduled for 8AM that Saturday. John arrived several minutes before 8AM on the promised Saturday and began work and except for a short break worked cotinuously in that bathroom until after 3:00 PM. I could hear him scraping and grinding away from another part of the house and I did not step into the bathroom until he had finished with the shower and started to re-caulk the sinks in another part of the house.

All I can say is that when I walked into the bathroom I was looking at a new master shower, everything looked pristine. I couldn't believe it was the same shower I used the night before.

To sum things up I could not be more  pleased with the results. In addition to the master shower, John re-caulked four sinks and their back splash. All the work in a first class and professional manner.

I expect to get John back here one day to duplicate his magic on our floor tile.

John was quick to respond and on-time. We bought a home that had lots of iron in the water and the showers were in ROUGH shape! We are so happy with the results! The tile throughout the home looks brand new! The master bathroom shower especially was bad. He fixed the few tiles that were loose from water damage. The grout/tile is beautiful and the enclosure no longer leaks.

Very professional, estimate was in line with what others quoted. Thorough explanation of scope of work to be performed. Did a great job bringing the tile floor up to almost new look.

The experience has been good.  They came out and did what he said he was going to do and he said he was going to do it.  But it quite have been an extra time than probably what he expected, he did not leave until it was done in a way he wanted it to be.   

He did everything in our house and he explained it afterwards.  He changed the cover of the grout that we wanted and got rid of the pink.  By far, he was the most reasonable in terms of price.    

The mold and mildew coming up through the tiles in my master shower was just horrible.  Over the last year or so, I have tried to kill it with an entire bottle of X14 Mold & Mildew Remover, 100% bleach, 100% Ammonia, among every other commercial cleaner that Publix carries, all to no avail.  Although I thoroughly cleaned the shower weekly, the mold in the shower grout would not go away.

I finally called John Orban of The Grout Doctor and he came to look at it last weekend.  He advised that it was more than likely a problem of the mold growing from behind the wall and under the floor due to improper draining.  I had another non-Angie's List company do these same repairs only 5 years ago, so to hear this news was completely disheartening.  After discussing the mold issue, I also asked John if he could do anything to get the 10-year old tape residue off of the tub in my guest bathroom as the aforementioned company was paid to do that as well, but never came back to finish the job nor did they return any of my phone calls.  We looked at the tub and he said that he could indeed remove the tape residue, and he pointed out several hairline cracks in the caulking and grout as well.   We agreed that he would recaulk and regrout both the shower and the tub.  He also advised that he could get the water/soap residue off of my glass shower doors and make them look new again as well.  He did a sample spot and the results blew my mind!

John arrived as scheduled yesterday morning at 8am, and, at 5pm, both of my bathrooms look brand new!!!  I was so amazed by how awesome the grout in the shower wall and floor looked that I didn't even realize I was looking right through the clearly cleaned and once again beautiful glass doors!  And, there's not a single drop of tape residue on my tub anymore, which means it will quit pulling on my hair every time I take a bath!!!

I am super incredibly happy with the job that John did and would recommend his services to anyone and everyone!

Called for estimate on 1-10-15, got immediate call back and John came out same day to look at master bath shower & give estimate. Home is 10 years old & purchased 4 months ago. . John scheduled work to be done on 1-17-15 & promptly showed up on time & completed the job in just a few hours! He was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job and I am extremely pleased with the result! Cost of work was exactly what he quoted and I will definitely call him if we need additional work. Great job and thank you!

Called for estimate and John came same day. Scheduled appointment for one week later, and John arrived promptly and completed job in a few hours. He was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He did excellent job & shower came out great!  Price was very fair and even though there was more grout repair than original estimate, he did not increase the price.

Would definitely use his service again!  John seems really honest & great at what he does...thank you!

John arrived as planned to provide an estimate for our project:  the re-grouting of ceramic tile in two bathrooms.  Our house was built in 1952 and the original tile is still present. One of the bathrooms was recently remodeled, exposing a wall where the grout had mildewed behind the old toilet.  There were other areas where the grout was missing or stained, to be expected since the house is over 60 years old!  At the appointed date and time, John removed the old grout and neatly and professionally applied new bright white grout. Working with old tile is a risky business, but John managed to get the job done without any tiles breaking. I don't think the bathrooms have ever looked this good, even when the house was new. 
This is a labor-intensive process.  It falls into the category of "expensive but worth it."  John worked very hard from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for two days on this project and took only very short lunch breaks. We are very pleased with job he did.

The Grout Doctor (John) is a master at what he does.  Our Master Bathroom shower was in very bad shape and he brought it back to being like new!  We have hired many contractors and have seen all kinds of work done.  I was amazed at his work.  He is a true professional and gets the job done as promised!  I would recommend him to anyone.

John came to my home to give me estimate on the work and gave me a through explanation as to what he would be doing. We agreed on a date and he kept the appointment as agreed. The work was done quietly, professionally and in a timely manner. The shower and tub looked new when he was done with the job. Work area was left very clean before leaving.

John was right on time for his work, first he was very clean in doing his work, and after doing what needed to be done  he pointed out or I pointed them out to him other small areas that needed attention and for a small fee that was agreed upon all the work was done to our complete satisfaction

 I've attempted this work myself and did a soso job. John did a professional job and I will have no problem using him again. John will always be on my to call list. when ever I need tile or grout work done. Thank you John

Called and explained dilemma that had had shower re-caulked a few months ago but the persons doing the job had obviously not done it correctly and the new caulk (which I thought was an incorrect type) kept peeling and coming out.  I called the old company back 3 times but they never got it right. 
John Orban understood my dilemma and set a time/date to come look at shower stall to give estimate.  He arrived on time and  told me he did not feel the other company had removed ALL of the caulk from when the stall had been installed AND agreed that they used an incorrect type of caulk.  John set an appointment at my convenience to complete the job.
He arrived EXACTLY on schedule and completed the job in the time he had originally estimated.  
My shower now LOOKS FANTASTIC again.
I would definitely recommend John Orban, the Grout Doctor to anyone and when I need to have my tile floors regrouted again, I will definitely use John.

Overall was happy with the work.  The only negative was in scheduling the work.  The estimate happened very quickly, but then there were errors in scheduling the actual date that the work would occur.  After clearing my work schedule, I came to find out he'd double scheduled himself.  This occured not once, but twice.  It took several months to nail down a date (and stick to it.)    On the third try, everything worked out well.   Although it was frustrating leading up to it, in the end, the work was done very well.

I called for a free estimate and the Grout Doctor came out that evening. He was very professional and knowledgable. I called him back the next day to set up an appointment at my convienience.  He arrived on time, and did what he said he was going to do. He explained to me how to care for my floor to keep it looking good as long as possible.   It looks great now!  As long as it stays this way as long as he said it will, i would definitely use him again!

I called.  He came over & gave written estimate & gave suggestions for grout color.  Made an appointment for following week.  Showed up on time. Cleaned grout.  The house smelled so fresh. The next day he stained grout. Very great!  Anyone with grout should get this service....It has been almost a year & grout still looks great.

Everything went well overall.  John was extremely professional and pleasant.  He was courteous and efficient.  He had worked previously on repairing some tile and grout in two showers.  He did such a good job, I was confident about calling him for the flour tile.  His work is meticulous.  I would recommend him without reservation.
