The first thing Sid did was plastering. I have to admit that he did a fantastic job. You really had to look to see the difference but if you weren't specifically looking you would never be able to tell. That ends the only positive thing I can say about his work. My elderly mother, who was 87 at the time and myself had to find another residence from July 2006 until February 2007. Luckily I found a house about four blocks from ours to rent. Went past the house everyday. Sid started the work and worked like gangbusters at first. I heard from a lot of people who knew him and talked about his work on million dollar houses. I thought wow. Well I don't have a million dollar house. He put down wooden (engineered) floors. I have gaps all over the house and warping and peeling. I have gaps between the walls and cabinets in the kitchen. I have a counter top in the bathroom that isn't attached and the cabinet isn't attached to the wall. If it wasn't for the plumbing I don't think it would still be standing! Door jambs were not cut properly. Paint and plaster comes off the kitchen walls if you lean something against it for just a few minutes. He talked me into tiling my counter tops. They are horrible! I don't know where he went to school but I don't think he listened in math class. There are full tiles on the front of the counter and the back has a ¼" cut. Who wants to make a cut that small? It's not that I didn't order a enough tiles either. I still have over fifty tiles left. I can't describe the bathroom floor tiles. In May I had to have my house pressure washed. Not a single window in my Florida room was dry!!! Everyone of the leaked as well as my backdoor. I had looked at this plumbing accident as a way of getting my house in a better place. I was out of my home for over SEVEN months. I wanted the house to be nice for my mother's last days. Didn't happen that way. And my mom died in a thrown together house in July 2007. He might do good work for people with lots of money... but everyday folks... I won't call him.
