First, they charge you to provide an estimate - $35!? Yes, they apply to job, if you hire them, but with my experience, they don't get hired often so this is their income. I agreed to hire them, they said the work would be done in two weeks (week of July 6th). However, it was too early for them to commit to an exact date yet, due to possible weather delays. They would call me the next week and firm up. No call. I check with them and response is "hopefully, the week of the 13th". Why? They are busy with other work. Can they provide a date that week - no, depends on work load. Oh and weather, that has not been a factor for two weeks, yet still getting pushed out. Clearly they have other priorities than customer service, schedule management and delivering on work. Can only imagine the nightmare trying to get resolution if anything went wrong with their work. Cancelled.

The services were performed in a timely manner and the team of workers with diligent and professional.

All done in one day. Very efficient. Left work areas clean at the end of the work.

Very responsive in having job looked at and quote provided. They were able to install even sooner than initially expected (which was already pretty quick). Crew was professional and friendly and got it done quickly. Neat, cleaned up afterward. Would hire again!

These guys were a pleasure to work with.  Not only did they give me the lowest of three esrtimates, they further reduced my cost when they found my property needed less sod than estimated.  They know their grasses, and have all the necessary equipment.
They first identify and flag all sprinkler heads.  Then they run a sod cutter over the area and rake the debris up.  Then the sod goes down.  Perfect - and all in less than 6 hours.  
Could not have been more pleased.

I had Mike from Tom's Sod come out to my house 3-4 times over the past year. First we weren't ready, then we changed our mind, etc. Mike never hesitated and still came back out each time we called. After spinning his wheels for a while we finally got around to having the yard done and it looks awesome. It was a complete rip out and re-install of 5000+ sq.feet. The crew of 6 guys came out about 8:30 and were done by about 4:00. Part of our yard is a steep hill and we have alot of concrete curbing, curves, circles, etc. I was nervous watching a front end loader scoop up old grass around all the curbing but the man driving that piece of equipment was like a surgeon. All of the curved curbing also made for many more cuts to fit the sod properly. Everyone was very professional and receptive to our picky requests. A rip and re-sod is a messy job, and they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. You can hardly tell they were there. These guys were all real pro's and hard workers. However you want it, they do it.
I'm sure Tom's is proud to have a good staff like that. There is a reason they have done 3 yards withinour block recently. If you want a beautiful yard done right, call Mike at Tom's Sod.

My Landscaper recommended I call Toms Sod for the purchase fort his specialty Hybrid shade tolerant Seville sod.
I had to do my lawn in stages due to my landscapers restraint of time. I ordered multiple pallets the Hybrid Seville Sod on three separate occasions over the last 4 weeks. Every experience I had with Toms Sod was wonderful...Special KUDOS go to Mary and Mindy...they were the ones working with me via phone. Very pleasant, friendly, informative and efficient.
The SOD Quality is SUPERB, was and ALL 3 Deliveries were on time.
also, he drivers placed the Pallets of Sod exactly where I wanted and needed them placed (all 3 times). This part is AMAZING because I wasn't even at my home during the delivery...I just simply gave a Verbal desired placement to the driver over the telephone and Viola...when I arrived...they were neatly placed exactly where i wanted them. My landscaper Installed the SOD....and it was Beautiful from day one....Not Limp, dried out, stressed out...but FRESH, FULL, HEALTHY and VIBRANT! This SOD has also begun to root and GROW STRONG!
I am Impressed and will recommend TOMS SOD.

Tom's Sod did a wonderful job. The crew was courteous, professional, and very hard working. They ran into several obstacles (buried propane tank that had to be removed, irrigation pipes that broke, etc.) and they handled each problem quickly and with teamwork. All sod was placed perfectly and they went to great lengths to make sure we were happy and liked the end result. The crew worked all day and never stopped or stood around. My husband and I were very impressed. Would definitely use them again.

I was quite happy with them. They delivered two entire pallets of sod. They were punctual, accurate, and competitive. They made recommendations on the type of sod needed. They were thorough and asked how much shade the area would get.

Very good overall experience. Called for an estimate and had lawn installed shortly thereafter with no issues. Very professional.

Company was recommended to me by a landscaper friend for the health of their sod (I got bahaia). A couple of months later the sod installed is still looking great.

In the process of comparison shopping, their front office was noticeably more friendly and forthcoming with common-sense advice than others I called. The estimator who came out was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.

Installation went fairly smoothly; on the original date planned the crew was a no-show. I did get a call in the afternoon explaining that they had gotten caught up in a big commercial job across the bay and would not get to me that day. Understandable if irritating, and I appreciated the call. They showed up as promised first thing the next morning and did the installation quickly. We actually came up short on the amount of sod needed, so they had to come back after the weekend to finish installation.

They delivered next day on time, the sod was the best I had ever bought.

Four estimates were received from local service providers each requested to give complete details of what was required to make a perfect job completion.
The lowest three estimates were within $1,000.00 of each other as were the desriptiuons of what was going to be provided. TOD'S SODDING provided detailed description of the process and included recommendations for site preperation and gave some recommended providers for services I was not going to do myself.
The entire process from start to finish was and quot;cordinatedand quot; by TOD'S while I was traveling cross country, keeping me in the loop via telephone for the entire process. It was coordinated so that I would arrive home and the new SOIF would be installed the day after I returned. This was an approx. three week process coordinated exactly as planned and as origoinally estimated.
The personal interest of all contractors involved was heartwarming in the current climate of disassociated emplyees.
The finished product is a picturesque and apparantly of the highest quality as perceived.

Went great. Just delivered the pallets. The lady who helped me who has been in landscaping for over 20 years said it was the best and healthiest grass she had ever seen. Grass looks great 6mos later.

They were excellent. They did a much better job than the company that put in our back yard. Tom's is a bigger company and I knew they were giving me an honest price. The price included grading and leveling the yard.

Gave me the name of a pest control company and had treatment before replacement. Arrived on time and were fast and professional. Excellent workmanship and value, would highly recommend. Cody - supervisor was especially helpful and knowledgeable

Mike came out to provide a quote and answered all our questions, giving helpful advice and suggestions. Our main concern was the drainage in our yard and asked for a slope towards the back fence when reshaping the dirt. Mike also suggested the use of Palmetto St. Augustine since it holds up better in the shade (our back neighbor has a large oak covering our yard half the day), cold and draught. Grass was delivered the day before and installed in one day. Clean up was perfect and no scraps/trash was left in the yard. The left over grass that wasn't used was picked up the following day and our initial quote was reduced to reflect the unused pieces.
