TJAYS FLOORING INSTALLATION SERVICES LLC

On Thursday 30th of September 2021, TJ came to install baseboards in the master bedroom/closets, master bath and 2nd full bath. At first, the progress was going well. We paid TJ $500 upfront to pay for the materials. He dropped off the materials and waited a few weeks till the other contractors completed tiling the floors in the areas mentioned above. Also including the remolding of both bathrooms. TJ arrived around 9:00 am to start installing the baseboards. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the work in one day. Around 6:15 PM, we’ve asked him to come back the next day or next week to finish the work. At that point he demanded full payment. I declined on the notion the job was not completed. I already paid 50% of his estimate. I was worried I would not see him again. However, my wife took it upon herself to pay 90% of the remaining balance with TJ’s guarantee he will be back the next day or next week. Then he left. We discovered, one of the master bedroom closets was not even started. Moreover the bottom edges were not installed in the rooms he claimed were finished. There are ugly gaps between the flooring tile and the baseboards. Moreover, TJ ripped of the toilet paper roll holder from the bathroom wall resulting in a hole in the wall. He never said a word to us and he made a poor attempt to cover it up. I discovered the damage to our wall after he left. When he left, TJ took all the remaining baseboards and edges with him. We already paid for the material. Of course I was very angry and called him demanding he return with our product and that he needs to fix the damage to the bathroom wall. He hung-up and now will not return our messages. We now have to hire another contractor to finish the baseboards and fix the damage wall. All we ask is to have the product/materials returned and the wall repair taken care of.
