STOKES ALUMINUM AND OLYMPIC CONSTRUCTION

Stokes Alumninum responded to a request by me from the internet site. Lulu Carren, their appointment setter, was very professional and persistant. I made an appointment for an estimate on new windows, door and exterior house painting. Paul, the estimator, wanted to re-schedule as he was running late. I asked that we not re-schedule since I had to take time off to meet him. Paul was able to work quickly and gave me an estimate that was several thousand less than any other estimate. He also seemed very knowledgeable about the business and offered suggestions an what would look good for my house. I was concerned that this company was not on Angie's List, but thought that if I got some solid references, I could submit them to the list when they were done. My request for references was not totally ignored, but took two weeks for ONE reference! I decided that that made me uncomfortable and that I would just use someone else for the job. Lulu called me back about three weeks after sending me the reference and I told her that I was uncomfortable doing business with a company that was unable to send me several references, plus the BBB report was not good. She convinced me to schedule another appointment with Paul. The next day, I tried to cancel the appt and Steve Tsolkas (one of the owners) immediately called me back to explain the BBB report. I agreed to keep the appt with Paul, but later, Paul called to ask why we were meeting. I told him that he was supposed to bring me the name of some references and that Steve wanted us to meet. Paul gave me the name of another person to call for a reference. That person did not return my calls. Paul told me he would call me the next day with the name of some other clients. I have not heard from him. Paul seemed more concerned if I had the financing for the project. (They also have a financing option with their company.) Also, Steve tried to tell me that they are not on Angies List because it cost a fortune. I just wanted to put them on the list in case anyone else was thinking of using them. I am not sure how the internet website works???
