This is just the tip of the iceberg...Stines Disaster Recovery did demo work (started March 07) that was outside the realm of our written contract, only based on discussions of what my "wish-list" would be and without an estimate from them. I continued to state that I had to have a written estimate but every day I would show up to the site & they had done more demo. This went on for 2 1/2 wks. When I FINALLY got a written estimate (July 07), all portions of it were 2-3 times of what a normal RETAIL price would be. For example: his stucco estimate was approx $19,000. I had 3 other companies come out and do an estimate for the SAME work & the highest estimate was $4600. The AC system: his=$17900, the highest of other AC companies=$9876. It goes on and on. Also, he worked on my home WITHOUT PERMITS despite my insistence upon them. We served him a letter that fired him from the job and barred him from being on the property. He then began w/threatening phones calls. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!
