Schuler Gemological Services is a full service jewelry appraisal company and gemological laboratory. We can provide you with peace of mind in all aspects of your jewelry, whether it be for insurance purposes, or getting a second opinion as to the proper purchase price, for settling an estate, or helping you make that important first decision on an engagement ring. We specialize in providing you with documentation that will enhance your confidence in your jewelry purchase, or for that treasured family heirloom. Appraisals are by Appointment Only. No need to leave your jewelry, it's examined right in front of you, while you watch. Only a few days notice is needed to find a convenient time. Appointments are available Monday thru Friday from 9AM to 5PM. Other accommodations can be arranged if you have multiple items. Appointments can be made online on our website. In certain circumstances, special arrangements can be made for appraisals to be performed at your location with a flat travel fee of $50 within Pinellas County. Travel fees differ for other counties. "Our apologies that you considered are pricing too high. We believe we are competitively priced for the Tampa Bay market and charge lower flat rate fees than most of the area retailers for appraisal work. We work with clients to offer discounts on multi item appraisals and charge lower fees for gold only items or we work with clients to do a few pieces at a time in order to keep within their budget. Our appraisals are comprehensive and detailed with color photographs included and all examinations are performed in front of the client, while they watch. Each item to be appraised is carefully examined in your presence, notes are taken....and a picture too.
The item/s are returned to you.....and within a week, you receive in the mail a detalied appraisal which is quite a piece of work itself !!
