carpet installation
+ -1 moreERIC AND HIS PARTNER WERE VERY POLITE, EFFICIENT, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY WERE CONCERNED THAT I GET THE CARPET I WAS ENTITLED TO, AND GRACIOUSLY RETURNED TO FINISH A JOB WHICH HAD BECOME UNEXPECTEDLY COMPLICATED THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIRS. I FELT THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, AND WILL USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE FOR ANY FLOORING INSTALLATION.
Description of Work: ED'S COMPANY SUBCONTRACTS WITH CLEARWATER TILE & CARPET STORE TO INSTALL CARPET, CERAMIC TILE, ETC. I BOUGHT A REMNANT AT THE STORE, WHICH WAS STATED TO HAVE DIMENSIONS OF 12X16. ED CAME TO HOUSE, REMOVED OLD CARPET AND PAD, REPLACED TRIM PIECE BY DOOR. AS THE CARPET WAS ROLLED OUT, IT CONFIRMED ED'S EARLIER CONTENTION TO THE STORE THAT IT WAS NOT THE LENGTH MEASURED. THIS MEANT THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR US TO RETURN TO THE STORE AND COME BACK THE NEXT DAY TO INSTALL CARPET. HE WAS FRUSTRATED BUT PROFESSIONAL IN COMMITTING TO BE BACK. I WAS TO PAY HIM JUST THE MINIMUM CHARGE OF $100, BUT IN LIGHT OF HIS GOING THE EXTRA MILE I INCREASED THE PAY TO $140 IN APPRECIATION FOR ALL THE EXTRA WORK INVOLVED. THEY WERE GRATEFUL FOR THE ADDITIONAL REMUNERATION AND THE RESPECT FOR THEIR PROFESSIONALISM.
