STAY AWAY!!!!! I was appalled following my recent encounter(s) with the receptionist, Kathy. In reaching out initially via telephone, I was told that I would need to have the electronics recalibrated once the windshield was replaced, then after a pause she said, “I just found out that Ford just changed that, and their windshield will automatically recalibrate with the new glass, so you don’t need to do that after all”. Ok, great…it’s a 2018 vehicle, but perhaps Kathy is relatively new at her job, so whatever. I then asked what the upcharge would be if I wanted an OEM windshield. Kathy said that she did not know exactly but would “check into that and hear right back from me.” I did not hear “right back” by that evening, so I called that evening (afterhours) and left a voicemail, again requesting the information. After no return call, I called back two days later (the second telephone contact now) and was castigated by the incredibly rude receptionist—once again, “Kathy”—who interrupted my every response, scolding me that she had “spoken with me several times now” regarding this issue, but then in her overbearing conversation changed her story that in fact, she spoke “to my wife who approved the up-charge and ordering of an OEM windshield!”. Nothing could be further from the truth, as “Kathy” does not have my wife’s phone number, and if she did, my wife did not know anything about my windshield and has not spoken to ANYONE at Rite Touch Glass regarding this issue. WE HAVE TELEPHONE RECORDS PEOPLE! If I knew what the charges would be, why would I be wasting my time leaving an afterhours message making the same query??? The receptionist Kathy’s lack of professionalism, self-righteousness, rudeness, interruptions, and accusations of me lying were enough to steer me away from this grease fire. Their actual work may be impeccable, but the outright abusive responses and doubling down on outright lies to me as a consumer simply requesting information was well beyond what anyone would tolerate. If this is the best image they put forth, I certainly will not entrust them to work on my vehicle. Business owners, be aware of the image your reception staff is giving your operation! There are many other businesses which will happily offer you more professional—and certainly less abusive treatment--than this outfit.
