Ray is honest, efficient, and effective in his work. I highly recommend giving him a call if any appliance of yours is malfunctioning. You will be happy with the results.

Terrible. Ray's Appliance Service wanted to charge $75 to come on site to diagnose the issue. We opted to drop if off at his business (home) for a diagnostic charge of $30 paid by check. Ray called and talked us into having it repaired with the total cost being $230. When we picked up the repaired microware (paid $201 via credit card), Ray explained that he was unable get the microwave to fit properly into the housing- there was a 1/2 gap. He stated that it would not cause a problem. When we got the microwave home, we noticed that he had cracked part of the plastic housing and put two dents into the stainless-steel door. We told him that we were not happy with the repair. He told us to bring the microwave back so that he could remove the magnetron and he would issue us a refund. When he credited our charge card, he only refunded $171 of the $201 charged and told us it cost $59.90 to diagnose problems. We are now out $60 for a microwave that does not work and is unrepairable. If you look at the reviews you will see that most of them are 5 stars except for the most recent review which is one star. I would warn people to consider that something has changed in the last couple of years and that Ray's Appliance Service is no longer providing good service.

Called for service 1 week before Christmas told me that if it breaks to call him again i bought washer from him. After Christmas I called again he told me that he would order the parts but never came out to check the washer. Then he called me and told me that he had the parts and would come out on Friday or Monday and never showed up or called. I called he I week later and he told me that he would come out on Thursday or Friday off that week. I called him again and his remark to me was I am so busy with customers and I don't need the money. After 2 months of waiting for him to repair the washer that I bought from him he has NEVER called me back.Ray has a mutual friend who referred me to Ray and told me the same story on his repair of a freezer. I would never refer Ray's services to anyone.

Came the same day I called. Ray was very helpful and repaired the problem without taking advantage. I would hire him again and give his card to my condo neighbors.

I contacted Ray by phone on the weekend and left a voice mail because he doesn't work weekends, but he called me back bright & early Monday morning (8AM), and came out to the house within 90 minutes. He's energetic and professional, and what I like most is he educates you on how things work "under the hood" in addition to fixing the current problem, so you're more likely to be able to diagnose and fix things yourself in the future. You can buy appliance parts online and avoid paying a professional a big service charge next time something goes wrong. Also, he went the extra mile and cleaned the accumulated lint out of the hidden plastic part of the ductwork below the drum, behind the service panel. The problem was a simple blown fuse, which I suspected but didn't know where it was located or how to test it for continuity. The fuse was $20, the service charge was $60, very reasonable. Ray used to work for a prominent, decades old appliance repair store in Clearwater that went through bankruptcy, so now he is self-employed and works from home, but he is a skilled appliance repair technician, not just a "handyman". One word of caution about methods of payment: since he is self-employed he only takes cash and checks, no plastic, which compelled me to make an unanticipated trip to the bank. I think most people who have an unexpected, unbudgeted major appliance repair depend on using a credit card to cover it. I didn't have enough in cash or checking at the time, and fortunately had enough in savings to cover it.

Ray is wonderful. He came out quickly, as he always does.  This is the 2nd time we've called him to help keep our dryer kicking.  He does a great job and even offered to do a quick trick to make it a bit quieter.  Excellent customer service and he's fast with the repair.  Just a great guy.  No pressure to buy or do anything additional.  He keeps lots of part options on him.  And he's so friendly and clean-cut.  If anything else appliance related breaks I'll be calling him again!

Ray's was awesome, he was on time and knew exactly what the issue was. He fixed it in no time and was a great guy. The pricing was routine so I guess it is OK.

He is wonderful. He has even helped me fix things over the phone, so that I didn't have to have him come out.

I called them and they sent someone within two hours and he was great. The price was lower than I expected considering that he came out with a guy who he was training and they both worked on it. They had all the part, immediately found the problem and took care of it. The price was unbelievably cheap.

Ray is fantastic. I tell him my problem over the phone, and he tells me what the problem is and gives me a quote. He was correct again this time. When he arrived, he removed the cover over the icemaker controls, and there was the rusted solenoid. He removed it and replaced it, and cleaned the compartment while it was exposed. He replaced the water filter (for about half the price charged by the manufacturer), and I noticed a water leak in the line that fed the refrigerator when he started testing the icemaker. He happily replaced the leaking shutoff valve, at no extra charge. Ray is always a pleasure to work with.
