Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
Price was good, but quality of work was problematic. They were just awful. They had a great designer and they fired her, she was their best asset.

Cabinet Making
When done the work was good but required way too much time and way too many trips out. Problems or imperfections were not noticed by their carpenters and had to be pointed out by us. Left trash behind every time they came out.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
Issues w/ kitchen: Unable to install dishwasher as opening was too small for machine. Countertop had to be removed to allow for adjustment of lower cabinet. Shims should have been put in to hold the 24" placement but they didn't & it shifted ?". Cabinet doors need to be aligned. Kick plates missing on island cabinets. Corner cabinet does not fit on island. Upper cabinet to left of stove did not fit. Designer assumed that we would alter the center structural support beam when we raised ceiling. Designer consulted w/ our contractor in kitchen space before leaving property on day of her original sketch visit. When crown molding was applied, a seam was left in the middle of longest span. My contractor repaired. He also built shelving to complete kitchen after Prestige informed they were not going to finish work. Issues w/ closets: There is a rack missing. Shelving is off by 5 degrees. I was told they were aware of problem before leaving our home yet I had to call & report the problem.

"Most problems were caused by member's contractor & not by my installers. He installed countertops incorrectly, installed A/C vent in wrong location & he also did construction work, electrical, etc. without a permit. We installed the cabinet & left it w/ a 24" swing. We feel her contractor bumped it out of alignment. All doors & drawers were aligned after complaint was submitted & kick plates were installed. There was an error w/ corner cabinet not fitting on the island & it could have been resolved if her contractor had not built the countertop wrong & installed it before the correction could be made. Customer's contractor was to raise the 7' ceiling to 8'. Neither he nor my designer knew there would be a beam. Member or her contractor never called to inform us that there needed to be a change in design after they opened ceiling & found the beam. Regarding issue w/ the closet, we sent installer out to install the missing rack. At that time the customer said the closet system was OK."

PRESTIGE KITCHEN MAY BE CAPABLE OF GOOD WORK, BUT THE WORK I RECEIVED WAS SHODDY. I HAD TO DO MY OWN QUALITY CONTROL AND INSIST UPON THEM PERFORMING IN A WORKMAN-LIKE FASHION. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT PERFECTION, JUST COMPETENT PERFORMANCE. WHILE THEY ULTIMATELY PRODUCED A SATISFACTORY PRODUCT, IT WAS ONLY AFTER EXTENSIVE PRODDING. EVEN THEN, APPOINTMENTS WERE NOT KEPT AND I WAS CONTINUALLY TREATED AS THEIR LEAST IMPORTANT CLIENT. AS A RESULT, THE JOB TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN IT SHOULD. THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER COMPANIES THAT DO THIS WORK - PICK ONE OF THEM!
