The service was excellent. They were very prompt. They completed the job within a couple of weeks of finding the problem. The workers were great. I would definitely recommend them to a friend because they fixed a problem that no one else could fix, they explained the issues and repair process, and they cleaned-up after themselves.

Metro roofing evaluated a rental roof & found that no work was necessary. The repaired my porch roof along 2 seams with the house & garage. The roof had been installed improperly & they installed the correct flashing ect. The reponed within 24 hrs, performed the estimate the next day & performed the work 1 day later. They were prompt & professional. I chose Metro roofing (despite the negative reviews) because I,m associated with a local organization that did extensive estimates for the roof repair of our local theater. Other companies

said we needed a new roof or extensive repairs costing thousands. Metro Is assessment was that we needed to repair nails that had lifted ( normal in the florida sun) and did the necessary repairs for $850. and did the work promptly.
I think Metro has turned their customer service around since they received negative reviews.
Since my repair was essentially a re-install I was not unhappy with the cost of $1800. I know the work was done well.

Gave a 40% deposit on for a new roof January 19th.  Work was to begin in about a week which was on time.  I specifically told the roofers not to use the gate on the south side of the house because it was broken, however they did have access to the back yard through the other gate.   When I came home from work  the roofers removed the barriers and used to secure the broken gate and the gate was left hanging so the dog could just walk out of the yard.  I called and complained to Ken and left a message.  He returned my call later that evening and said they would fix the gate.  I told him no need as the gate was broken before and that  I simply requested them to not use it and make it worse.
When the roof was finished, I noticed that the workers must have run over my landscape timbers and broke them.  They had been backing in my driveway to unload shingles and backing in to leave their trailer for debris.
These workers simply had no regard for my property.  It was not an accident that they made the condition of my gate worse as they were told to  not use it and they had to take down the barrier from using it.  It was not as simple as just opening the gate.  They deliberately refused to comply with my request. when they had easy access to the yard with a double gate on the other side of the house.  Were it just I fence they may have cut it down.
For weeks after the job was done I called Ken several times.  I still had the paperwork for the city on my front window.  When he finally returned my call he stated they lost the photos of the job but had suddenly found them in order to get an inspection.
In March 2013 I had to continue to call Ken as I am still waiting on the paperwork he promised at the finish of the job.  Its been almost two months since the finish and no paperwork.  When Ken finally returned my call he claimed it was his birthday and couldn't return the call.  He mentioned that he needed to get with the manufacturer regarding the warranty before he could get me the final paperwork.
So two months after the job I am still chasing Metro Roofing down to get my paperwork.  They were extremely prompt with cashing my payment and the roof was done fairly quickly.  I feel he grossly underestimated the job as the cost was about $700 higher than the estimate.  It was very clear that there was visible rotten wood he should have included in the estimate and didn't.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the roof holds up!

We were not happy soon after the installation of the roof.  We noticed water damage in three areas of the home, we called immediately and they came out.  They said, "it could be damage from the old roof".  We fixed the ceilings and after the heavy rain this season, damage is back in the same three areas pointed out before.
I plan to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well.
After reading the other two F reports - this company should no longer be providing anyone services!!!

On the first contract to fix a leak in a portion of the roof which was flat, Metro Roofing took off the old roof, then announced they needed to do more work and would not proceed until we paid another $3300. We felt like we had no choice with the old roof off, and paid the additional money. The work was completed and we have had no further leaks in the last 2 months. On the second contract for the new roof on the new addition, we had a separate signed contract which was for a set price. They had been given the complete plans in order to do their estimate. After our framers installed the roof decking, we called Metro for installing the waterproofing underlayment. On the day they were to start, they showed up and began to unload their supplies. Then, one of the owners, Mike Ramirez said they had missed the estimate; that they would need 39 squares instead of 34, and they wanted another $1000 or they would not start the job and left. Again, we felt we had little choice and agreed to pay an additional $500 as a compromise (despite the signed contract). The original start date was a Friday, a sunny day. Monday was clear and sunny. It rained h****** Monday night on our newly finished roof deck and interior framing. They showed up on Tuesday to start. We asked if it was proper technique to put the roof paper and water proofing over a wet roof and asked if it would dry out without risk of mold. (Our subsequent roofer said it should not be put on a wet surface). Mike Ramirez (one of the owners) said if we didn't let him do it on Tuesday, he couldn't come back for another two days. We asked why they had not used the good weather days. We pointed out that they were in breach of contract. Ramirez became abusive, cursed, and called my wife a filthy gutter name. My wife is 66 years old, has three advanced degrees, and has never heard those words except on extreme R rated films. His son (who seemed like a nice kid) said his father was under a lot of "stress", and seemed reluctant, but followed his father's orders to leave the job. We have renovated or built five homes in several states. This is the worst tradesman with whom we have ever dealt. We found another roofer whose estimate was close to the original estimate of Metro (without the additional demand). We would not recommend this roofer to anybody for anything and we intend to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. His pattern seems to be to force a homeowner into giving him more money by demanding it after the work has begun or at the last moment when the work must be done.

Overall, it went well. We were kept up-to-date daily about the progress and what would be happening the following day. Any questions were immediately addressed and we always got a call back quickly.

They showed up a bit later than promised but they came with the correct materials, did the work in one day and cleaned up nicely. It was a fairly simple job but done well.
