Manuel Salazar

He is punctual, and has been our lawn service provider for over 5 years. He adjusted to our kids' sleeping schedule to make sure his equipment didn't wake the babies up.

The service is always top notch and professional. This is a monthly service arrangement with Mr. Salazar. He has been preforming our yard service for many years. We like the service and are happy with the results.

After a bit of fine tuning about height requirements for lawn mower setting; we are well and truly satisfied. He is punctual, does a good job and employs skilled helpers. Our yard looks great.

For the second time in as many months, Manual Salazar did not landscape our yard on the day agreed, a Monday. Two days later there was no word from him that there was a problem or when he intended to make up the missed day, so my husband called the number provided on his regular billing. My husband spoke with a polite woman who listened as he asked why our yard had not been mowed. She promised to follow up and call him back, which she did a short time later. She explained that some type of road blockage, it sounded like several blocks away from our house, prevented Manual from getting to our house on the scheduled day. While my husband didn't quite understand how this could occur, he gave Manual the benefit of the doubt and let it stand. My husband discussed if Manual would be able to mow our yard in the next two days, Thursday or Friday. She responded that it would be done either Thursday, Friday, or next week.
The lack of commitment led my husband to believe Manual would not be getting to our yard until the following week, but when my husband arrived home from work the next day it was clear someone had been at the house to landscape the yard. It was a confusing sight as most of the yard had clearly been mowed, but there were large portions of it that had not been mowed (many patches of grass un-mowed with height differences of several inches). A large area of the yard appeared to have been mowed with either a dull blade or too quickly as there where numerous bits of grass that were bent but not cut - again made very obvious due to the great number and significant difference in height of the broken grass amid the much shorter cut grass. The same type of inattention was evident on the bushes, as some were clearly trimmed while a single 12' hedge line in front of the house was nicely topped except for the last two feet which extended 6and quot; or more in all directions. We both were quite displeased. This part of the bushes had been missed now for two landscaping visits.
My husband then called the number provided on our regular billing and left a message asking that he be called concerning our yard. Manual called my husband a few minutes later while my husband was standing in our yard amazed at the shoddy job performed. My husband described what he was looking at in our yard while Manual adamantly insisted there couldn't be anything wrong. When my husband insisted there was something wrong with the yard, Manual said something unintelligible, wished my husband a good day, and hung up.
In summary, he wasn't consistently mowing the yard but charging us full price anyway. When called upon to do the agreed upon work, he performed horribly (intentionally?) and wouldn't tolerate hearing otherwise. Easily the worst landscaper we have dealt with ever.
Now we have to pay another lawn service to come and clean up the yard and bushes. We will be hiring another service.

Mr. Salazar has been maintaining our lawn and shrubbery for at least three years, probably longer. Our lawn always looks great and our shrubs are always tidy. Clean and efficient and thorough. We are very, very pleased. We will continue to use Manuel Salazar Lawn Service for years to come.

This is the second time we have used Mr. Salazar for yard service. He does a great, thorough job and has very reasonable pricing. We will definitely continue to use him for all of our landscaping needs.

Mr. Salazar provided an estimate to prepare a very overgrown piece of property for a termite fumigation. We are out of town property owners and Mr. Salazar helped us understand the size of this job- provided a very detailed estimate, numerous photos of the property before/after the work was performed. Throughout the bidding and clean up process, he kept me and my husband informed about what he found at the house and what it would take to meet the termite fumigation requirements. Debris was disposed of and the property looked presentable for the first time in a very long time. The neighbors were thrilled and we were proud to have selected a great lawn professional.

I would work with Mr. Salazar again, and again, given his service and attention to details.

I've been using him for over six months. Manuel Salazar is the name of the owner. He comes by every Friday. Last week he came out on a Thursday because he had to do some extra work. He comes less often in the winter because the grass doesn't grow because there would be no water. I have a contract with him, but I can cancel it any time. He gave me a quote for what he would charge for the work we wanted done and the size of our yard. He's very reasonably priced for the work that he does.

On our return, the lawn looked the best it has in the 5 years we lived in this house. Mr. Salazar is very concerned that his works meets our approval, and urges us to let him know if anything does not. He has been here 5 times so far. He does do weeding, some by machine and some by hand! He does the special deep edges that I like between the lawn and the beds. He comes on the same day every week and he is punctual. He is professional. For the extra work that he does, his price ($120.00 a month) is reasonable for our very large yard. We would definitely recommend him for lawn and yard work.

He worked for me many times doing general pruning of large landscaped property. Quality of work is outstanding, but he has become unresponsive.

The first time I called them they came out and laid sod in my yard. Manuel came out every day and checked that everything was growing in the way that it was supposed too. When the sod arrived I called them and they came out in about a hour. I was very pleased with his responsiveness. His crew comes out once a week to care for my lawn. They do a very good job. I will continue to use him in the future.

Manuel does excellent yard work. He has my unqualified recommendation. However, he informed me today that he just signed a large 1-year commercial contract. He can no longer do weekly landscape maintenance for me and is no longer accepting new business. I wish him all the best.

I was extremely pleased with his work. He is a hard worker eager to please and has a great attitude. He was prompt, professional and his prices are very reasonable. I will definitely use again.

work was that good. We then booked him to come back and do the back yard. My husband and I then decided to have Manuel's lawn service take over our lawn maintenance, we have been very happy since Manuel started cutting for us. He is the best lawn service we have had, even one neighbor commented that the lawn looked the best it had in a long time. Another neighbor started using him also, she is older and usually complains about everyone, but has never said a negative word about Manuel's work at her house. I also had Manuel do a surprise landscape for my parent's house, they were thrilled. I originally found Manuel thru the internet and was lucky he turned out to be so good. This is why I wanted him on Angie's List, he runs a wonderful company and provides beautiful work. I want other people to feel confident in using Manuel for his landscape and lawn "artistry", he has earned that reputation and deserves to have others use him in the future. I know I will continue to be a customer.
