I was a nice first meeting. Never got a follow up visit. Got my taxes back and sent in to the government what Linda said I owed. The United States Government sent me a letter saying I paid to much and sent me a check!

"Mr [Member Name Removed] All the items you brought in were included in your tax return. No carry forwards were indicated in the prior year tax return. I would be cautious of cashing any check until you got a letter from the IRS indicating what the difference is. The IRS frequently makes mistakes and if you cash the check, regardless of who's mistake it is, you could be responsible for interest and penalties. You should bring in the letter when you get it and ask what questions you have in regards to your tax return. Thank you for using Angie's List."

I met with Linda earlier in February to review my tax data input. We met for about 20 minutes and she answered all my questions appropriately. Then about a week later her office assistant, Theresa, called me to say that my tax return was completed. I stopped by her office, picked up my tax return and asked that it not be filed electronically until I had reviewed the tax forms.
I reviewed the tax forms later that week, called Linda with a few questions - each of which she answered openly and accurately. I then asked her to file electronically my 2015 tax return.

Was taken to conference room by a polite and friendly assistant. Nice offices.
Ms Jenkins came in and discussed what had to be done and we shook hands. ( So many people forget the hand shake to seal a deal)
My taxes were prepared within a short period of time. Signed sealed and delivered with a smile.
Would not hesitate to call or use this CPA again.

I already checked it to confirm you didn't owe and set it aside to complete payroll returns and sales tax returns for the month. We had a little time off after April 15th too. Extensions had been sent out so your return was actually not due until October 15th. If you ever have a certain deadline in mind, please do let me know, we always try to accommodate. I discussed with her a price to do both personal and company taxes. Her actual price after the taxes were done were higher than I thought she quoted me by $200.00. Yet, she worked with me to pay the bill through installments due to mitigating cicumstances which was very ethical and professional. She responded quickly to my questions and seemed very knowledgalble about company and personal taxes.

I had used Linda successfully to do corporate taxes for our real estate investment business for several years. Then recently my mortgage broker requested that Linda write a letter stating I have done real estate investing. She has done my taxes for x number of years. It was really a very simple request, but she gave my broker a very difficult time. It took several requests to get it right. Then she had the nerve to send me a bill for $90 for a two sentence letter. The letter didn't ask for specifics, just an acknowledgement that she did the taxes.

"The AICPA issued a Technical Practice Aid in July 2012 (TIS Section 9110.19). This specifically deals with lender comfort letters and even has a sample letter that may be used. Regardless of what questions the lender asks we will only issue a letter with the exact language contained in the sample letter, nothing more nothing less. Most of the time this doesn't even answer their questions but they close the loan anyway. The FICPA governs Florida."
