Marcus responded to my initial inquiry quickly and after I told him that part of the garage ceiling came down, and I showed him photos, he said he would have to take down the whole ceiling and put up new drywall. Other drywall contractors said the same thing, too. In my email contact with Marcus, Marcus gave me the price which he said included demo current ceiling, hang new drywall, tape/mud, and orange peel texture. I hired him based on the price, his availability, and what he said he would do. In order to prepare for their arrival to do the work, I was told to take everything off the top shelves and clear the clutter in one corner. I did all of that. They arrived as scheduled and they began by covering the items which were left in the garage. I left them to the garage to do their work. My issue comes at the end of the project when it was time to do the walk-through. The new drywall was up, but to me, it wasn't finished. My understanding is that the ceiling would be fully painted/covered by the texture. Marcus said he doesn't do that and that drywall contractors do not do that even though some photographs show finished ceilings. Also, one time years ago when I had drywall done inside the house, the work was fully completed and included the painting/texturing of the ceiling. When I asked Marcus for the full job to be done, I assumed that the finished ceiling would be included. I didn't think to ask if everything would be back to how it was in the garage because I thought that would be the case. Marcus never mentioned to me that I would have to hire a painter after he was done. I now know to ask in the future before getting drywall done. I just want to let others know so people are not surprised like I was. He also removed light fixtures and was planning to leave without putting them back. Before he left, he did put one light fixture back up after I got so upset about it being left off with no light in the garage. After he left, it looks like the other electrical outlet in the ceiling where the garage door is plugged into does not have its cover. It was not put back to how it was before they arrived. The garage door opener, keypad, and remote opener did not work when they left. I do not know how to fix that so I had to have a garage door repair person come and fix it for me. A pipe was hanging from the ceiling when they arrived and when they were about to leave, I asked them why the pipe wasn't put back the way it originally was. They said they didn't know how it was hung even though they were the ones who lowered the pipe from the ceiling during the demo. They suggested I contact an HVAC person. So, although I have new drywall up, I still need to hire a painter or handyman to finish it. I hired a garage door repair person to fix the garage door situation. I have left a message for my HVAC person and I hope they can come out soon to fix the issue with the pipe that was partially hung from the ceiling. Today I saw that my sprinkler timer box is coming off the wall when it was not like that when they started the job. They also left white footprints all over the garage floor. Normally I wouldn't think much of it, but when I think about the totality of this and the lack of consideration to me and my garage, I feel let down and taken advantage of. My suggestion is for Marcus (the owner) to tell homeowners upfront that a painter or handyman will need to be hired after Marcus does his part. I probably would have decided to hire someone else who would have handled the job to completion. Making time to hire more people to complete the job makes this option less desirable and frustrating.

"[Member Name Removed], I am sorry that you were not pleased with some aspects of the job. Due to our communication via email and lack of a formal contract (due to the quick commencement of the job) all of the above was not clarified in writing as usual. In the email quote that was given The job description was to demo, hang, tape, mud, and texture. There was nothing in the quote that stated I would be painting the ceiling. We are not electricians, HVAC, or garage techs. Pinellas county requires a separate license to do any painting. We do not advertise painting anywhere. In all of our contracts it says in bold that we do not paint. If there was ever a painted photo it was because the customer posted that photo. Also, your garage door and HVAC pipe were all improperly installed to begin with (wires attached outside of an outlet and the pipe hanging from the ceiling rather than being installed along the walls). As far as the foot prints in the garage go, there is usually a haze after we clean up that may take a few mops before coming out. A simple call and I could have handled that issue for you. I understand your frustration but we did exactly what we said we would do in a timely manner considering it was the weekend. I am always willing to help a customer in anyway possible but correcting things that were wrong in the first place and out of our job description is not something I feel comfortable with."

Marcus did a fantastic and very professional job at replacing drywall that was removed due to plumbing repairs. The walls and ceiling have 2 different types of texture and Marcus was able to do the repairs and match the textures on the new drywall areas to seamlessly fit into the rest of the room. I am very impressed with the job and happy I chose this company to do the work I needed.

Marcus was very helpful in providing me with an estimate when I described the needed repair and sent him a photo. He was able to book the job just 2 days later, he arrived on time and did an excellent job; the ceiling looks like new. He also covered the whole area with plastic so that none of the texturing spray got onto the walls or French doors. Afterward, he explained that we needed to prime the new repaired section to prevent damage from moisture, and I appreciated that he let me know that. He even took the time to look at another area I had a question about and give me his opinion. I highly recommend his services.

When the dust finally cleared from the interior demolition, I needed drywall replacement for my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom closet. I reached out to three drywall contractors, within the immediate area, and I found Leading Edge Drywall's estimate for repair to be in line with other drywall providers. I chose Leading Edge Drywall because its proprietor, Marcus, was will to listen to my concerns and make adjustments accordingly. The overall installation experience was seamless with the repairs taking 3 days to complete. The results were positive with the condominium unit's walls being restored to its former glory.

It went very well. He was on time and very cooperative. The worker was motivated. There was no power in the home as there was no tenet living there. He was able to work around that and still got the job done the same day. Altogether, it's very well done and he made sure to clean up his mess.

Excellent. Marcus arrived on time and immediately began working. He and his assistant covered the floors thoroughly from our home entrance to and throughout the office. The completed ceiling was outstanding. My husband, who has worked for a commercial contractor for years, commented on what a remarkable job they had done! Marcus was very professional throughout the experience. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my closest friends!

Marcus and his brother did an excellent job - the texturing blended in just as I had wanted. He quoted the job via pictures I sent from my smartphone. I needed them to come on the weekend since the inspection was scheduled for Monday and they did. After they got here, they put paper down on the floor and on the sidewalk outside and masked off all the walls and countertops. It took about 3 1/2 hours as he had said. When he left, there was absolutely no dust or debris left behind. I was very pleased with the whole experience. The photos show both areas before and after.

It was a very good experience. Marcus and John were punctual and professional. Because drywall work is so messy i dreaded the dust I expected from my drywall experience. Marcus and John put rolls of paper down and set aside throw rugs and even moved a plant, all the way from the doorway through the kitchen.  They also used plastic in the entire kitchen area confining what could have been a real mess. When the job was finished all paper and plastic was removed, the area swept and cleaned and items set back to their proper places. Marcus was great to work with offering suggestions as well as listening to my input in regards to unexpected situations, such as a dangling wire. They also repaired the area around a duct, which I had not expected. Marcus was flexible, helpful, and really seemed to care. The job was finished in three hours and I was very pleased.

Leading Edge was able to pay a quick visit on short notice with a big task at hand. In our living room, there was a large hole from an aftermath of a leak, this caused hot air to circulate around my home. The guy who came to fix this issue was named Marcus, he was very professional and thoroughly completed the job very well. Well priced service, I highly recommend this growing business. Without a doubt, I will contact them for any necessity.
