As you can tell by my rating what started out good turned into a complete nightmare -- including not refunding $16,599.83 for wood flooring we returned back to Gulf Tile. How do you describe a person who takes almost $17k? I've hired an Attorney.
Here are the details on each part of the remodel
3 Window fills with stucco (had to hire another company to fix)
After just doing 2 window fills we had him stop before doing
the 3rd. The stucco cracked around the four sides showing a complete silhouette
of where the window was. He did it incorrectly - he did not cut out any of the
appropriate amount needed (about 4") of the old stucco around the window.
The seams of the old and news stucco should not be where the window is cut out
- that's how you get a silhouette
Kitchen Cabinet install. (had to hire another company to fix)
First he told us that kitchen cabinets can be installed on
cement floor first before wood/tile floors. This is not true - you will have a
lip of at least 1/2-3/4 of an inch where you can't slide out refrigerator to
clean behind it. You would also have to remove granite to get dish washer out
for repairs, if needed.
Wood Flooring (Gulf Tile has tile ? JSS wont refund money)
JSS and Gulf Tile sold me cheap engineered 3/8? wood
flooring for $6.00/ft in which I later found for $2.28/ft at Floor and Décor.
So they accepted the return but refuse to refund my money of 16,599.83.
(this is comparable to felony theft)
(Note: We purchased marble tile 50% cheaper at Floor and Décor
vs Gulf Tile)
