The price was much much higher than anyone else's (for the exact same materials and work). They emphasized their national reputation and guarantee.

The order depends on who you get. Last time, I had a lady on the paint department. Geez, she was very educational. She was the most helpful person. Home Depot ought to have all their stock bought if they had more people like her. But a lot of them are just like "Oh it's over there." And that's it. They just point. If I know where to get what I need, I'd rate my overall experience with them as A. But if I have to ask, it's B.

Beware of The Home Depot return policy even if you have a receipt. Several retailers are making returns difficult for their customers amid the current economic crisis. I hope consumers will take note of this and avoid these retailers; including The Home Depot.

I purchased a 65 foot steel fish tape from The Home Depot. The tool was defective. I tried to return the tool with a receipt and within their 90 day return period. The tool was paid for using a credit card and gift card combination. Per the cashier and two subsequent managers I could not get a refund without providing my Drivers License number. I was not asking for cash or for the full amount to be returned to my credit card. I simply wanted the original amount on a gift card and the credit amount reapplied to my bank card.

As Home Depot gift cards are a staple item from friends and family on Christmas and my birthday I have since advised against this practice. If fact until The Home Depot changes their return policy I will not shop there in any case other than an emergency (i.e. I need a pluming item and my house is currently flooding). It is my choice where I shop and it will not be The Home Depot or any retailer with a similar return policy.

The experience was fair; they only made a couple of mistakes in the ordering but they made good on it. They took care of the problem pretty quickly and their prices were the best I could find. I recommend them and will use them again in the future.

I was very happy with them. It's the first time I've ever had somebody come in truly and do a job and do it really good. I was amazed. The gentleman that installed the windows did his work and he did a great job. I was totally impressed. He was somebody that I contracted through Home Depot. I paid Home Depot, but the gentleman they use was absolutely wonderful. I have spoken with Home Depot since then and this was done a year ago, last March. The gentleman still works for them so that's a good thing. The girl that I spoke with was with the construction and her name is Ilene. The price and everything was excellent. The workmanship was very good. I think it was the best job that I've had a subcontractor come in and do. As along as I could have the same gentleman install them, I would use them again if I have to put windows in. The price of the windows, the quality of the windows and the workmanship were excellent.

They did a good job. The windows were installed nicely, and they are working well.

I liked him and thought he was very, very professional, but the price was on the high side. It was quite a bit higher than the other estimates I got. I would have felt comfortable with them doing the work, but there was a big difference in the pricing.

Home Depot did a good job. When the lady came out to do the estimate and she was very courteous and knowledgeable. She gave us a good estimate and that is what we paid. After we received an estimate a crew was out in two days. It only took the crew three days from start to finish to complete the job. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves. They took a magnet and made sure they had all the nails picked up. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We were very pleased. It worked out to our expectations.

The runners worked alright for a few days, then they didn't work at all. Home Depot subcontracted another company for the job and they came out and fixed the problem within a couple of days. Overall everything was good except that they weren't on time.

THE JOB WAS VERY SATISFACTORY. THEY CLEANED UP. MY WINDOWS WERE ORDERED, AND YOU DELIVERED RIGHT ON TIME! THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN MAKING SURE EVERY THING WAS CORRECT.
