Horrible experience. The installer told us the window was defective. He said they would order a new one and replace. We all agreed no payment until the job was done. That afternoon, they got my money from my creditcard that i had used for downpayment. Now they are refusing to replace the defective window. Dishonest thieves.

Things were done very quickly (in a matter of hours!)  and the installation was very good.   I love the new windows because they not only are hurricane certified, but they also keep out a lot of unwanted noise and bugs.   The guys were very efficient when they installed them and were very careful as they were bringing the windows in not to dent my walls, etc.   I have marble window sills which I thought would need to be replaced, but they were unharmed by putting in the new windows.   I would highly recommend this company.

I recommended them to two neighbors as well. I can call them 10 years down the line if I can't open a window and they will send somebody.

My first experience with the company was when Dan Provenzano the VP of Hom-Excel came out to my home and sat down and went over the window types and cost. What hooked me was the basically and quot;unlimited, lifetime warrantyand quot; (transferrable 1 time) on these incredible windows. They have two 3/8th inch (1/4 inch is standard) glass panes with gas in between which does a better job at insulating to help keep house cool in the heat and warm in the cold weather. I liked them so much when I moved in 2004 to my present home I called Dan Provenzano first. The house I had purchased had been a and quot;flipand quot; as the person doubled the size of the home adding 2 B/R's/1 BA/1 CG to a small 1 B/R, 1 BA one. He used builder's grade windows from a home improvement center. I called Dan and he came out to see me within a couple of days. I replaced all the windows in my house with some more Simonton dual pane, gas filled windows. In my new house there are 3 great (bay or picture) windows. Once again I have a lifetime warranty that is transferrable to the next owner when I sell my home if ever. The windows are a bit costly but the company will replace mine as Dan told me, and quot;I don't care if delinquents in your neighborhood smash all your windows.. we will replace them freeand quot;. Same for hurricane damage. Call Hom-Excel for your window needs.

Eventually, fine, but we started calling in November and someone came out to see the problem, removed the screen door and said an order would be placed for replacement. They apparently lost the order because we did not get it installed until March, so we missed the opportunity to enjoy a lot of the time in Florida when you can have your windows open and enjoy the breeze. We are very happy now.

We wanted to replace our windows and doors and replied to a call from Hom-Excel. The salesman came out (2 hours late) and gave us his pitch for windows. We asked if they do doors and he told us they would rather not, but if we bought doors on our own, his guys would install them for us. Sounded good, so we signed the contract and set the date for June 28. On June 27, the office lady called and asked to reschedule because they hadn't received the windows from the supplier and said they needed 2 more weeks. So, we rescheduled for July 19. The 19th came and the installers showed up on time and were very friendly. Half way through the installation, my wife heard the installer say, "Oh, F$$$." He had just realized he mis-measured 3 of the windows and needed to reorder them and come back on another date. The installer's assistant told my wife that the installer might lose hs job, because they only had 8 windows to install that week (we ordered 7). Since I felt bad and the installer was nice, I paid the remainder of the contract. We scheduled the remaining windows for July 28, but in true fashion, received a call (on the 28th) requesting another reschedule for 2 weeks later, because they had a high-rise installation conflicting with mine. Here is where I lost my "stuff" and said no way. After alot of hemming and hawing, the office lady scheduled us for the next day. The installation went well and the installer gave me the contact information for their guy who was going to install our doors and told me to call him to set it up. Round 2... After several failed attempts to get a return call, he finally answered and said he didn't know why they referred me to him, because he didn't have the time. When I mentioned this to the first installer, he told me he would do the installation and I should call him on August 8 (when he would know his schedule) to set it up. The 8th came and he told me to call again on the 15th. On the 15th, he said we could set it up and it would be $800+ materials. (we paid less than $400 for the doors.) By this time, I was floored. The original sales guy told us, "the installers all work for me and I'll have them [install the doors]. I assumed the cost of installation was in the price quote he gave us. So, several more rounds on the phone with the office, installer 1, installer 2, sales man, office, installer 2, I decided to cut my losses and hire a handy man I met a year earlier. (His price was half what Hom-Excel tried to get from us and he was done 3 days later.) Over all, I have mixed feelings about Hom-Excel. Their product is good and the installation (when actually done, is solid and professional(-ish), but they have horrible customer service skills in the office. I have since gotten 3 phone calls from Hom-Excel trying to get me to order more windows from them. Really?!

They are very professional! They were cleanly and punctual. After my neighbor saw the work they did for me, they had 22 windows installed on their home too! I have already recommended them to another neighbor to use too! It all looks great!

We purchased windows for our home, in Nov.2010. A couple of them arrived broken, and it took us until February 2012 to have them replaced. The office manager answering the phone was very snotty and the customer service was terrible. The installers were fairly professional, but the rest of the experience was a disaster. I will never use this company again, nor can I recommend them.

Went very well. They sent people out to do measurements twice. They tore out the old windows without damaging the walls too badly. They installed the new ones and repainted and stuccoed the sills where they had chipped them. Cleaned up after themselves.

They came when they said they would, and they did very good work. They cleaned up throughout the process and everything looked great when they were done. They left no messes. One window wouldn't close properly, so I called them, and they came right out to fix it. I had the entire project done in 3 segments, with 6 windows each visit. They always sent the same people to do the work. The windows work very well and are very energy efficient. It was a very good experience.
