This went well. Dale and a helper were prompt, courteous and left no mess.

At 75 years old and a long time home owner, I have had many experiences with contractors and tradesmen. Hawkins Door Service stands out as one of the best. September 10, 2013, the owner Dale Hawkins installed my new hurricane Clopay resistant two-car garage door. The final product and price ended up being exactly what he estimated beforehand. I feel this door added to the value of my villa three times what the installation cost. A Hawkins installed door is a property enhancer rather than just an expense.
Dale came on time. Called in advance to confirm I was ready for him. Did not ask for a before-job deposit. Perfect installation.
Removed and hauled away the old door. Left the garage clean and free of any after installation debris. Did just what he said he would do – and made me a happy homeowner with a new door to show off to neighbors and give me the security of knowing that my home is less vulnerable to hurricane damage and likely eligible for an insurance reduction.

Prompt response when requesting an estimate. Price was a little higher than the bigger name providers, but the installation was completed before the other providers even returned my call!

Mr. Hawkins was very prompt in returning my initial call, which made him stand apart from his competitors. He arrived promptly at the promised times for the estimate and the installation. He presented options, but didn't attempt to up-sell beyond what I wanted.The work performed was very professional and the final job was excellent.Mr. Hawkins stated up front that his price would likely be a little higher than some of the competition because, I suspect, he couldn't meet their volume pricing. However, I was very impressed with him overall and decided that I would award the job to him. I'm very glad that I did.

It was a small job but he did a very good job. When he came out he saw what my problem was and what he had to do.
