I recently had Guardian install solar on my home and was very happy overall. The price and products very competitive and top of the line and the crew did an exceptional job on the installation.

Stay Away from this Company!!! Guardian Solar has to be the most unprofessional Solar and worst Installer in the Central Florida area. It was nothing but problems from the get go. It was very obvious that there was no pre-planning involved in our solar panel installation. The first question they asked when they arrived on site was: who is your electrical utility provider? Are you kidding me? They did not even know this basic question that had been talked about and conveyed during the purchasing of the system. They did not bring with them the contracted solar panels, we had signed a contract for SolarWorld Sunmodule Plus SW 290 Mono and they installed SolarWorld Sunmodule Plus SW 285 Mono. When I asked why the discrepancy, I received a curt answer from Danny, the owner/installer sending me to talk to the salesperson. If I had not inspected the solar panels I would have not been aware of the change and would have not been told. In addition, they did not bring with them a Solar Fan that was part of the installation, his answer was "I don't know anything about that go talk to the salesman". They did not pick up after themselves either and left electrical tape and plastic bags all over the yard which I had to clean up. They installed the system on May 16, 2016 and it did not become operational until June 10, 2016 after multiple follow-ups on my part. It turned out that this was their first installation in OUC (Orlando Utilities Commission) territory and they did not know the process involved in getting the system up and operational. We gave 1/3 of the cost upfront and we did not pay them the additional 2/3's of the cost until the system was operational. We love our system and hope to never have any problems/issues since we do not want Guardian Solar ever again back in our premises.

I first contacted them in June 2015. Gave them the deposit it than took months for them to start had to pay another 3rd than. It took about 2 months to complete the install which should have taken a week. Than I made the final payment the system still didn't work and they had not installed the remote monitoring system. Finally months later the end of December 2015 I had to ask them to give me the part and I hired another company FAFCO (they are great) they fixed the problem in a day but I had to pay another company to fix the problem.
Pete who sold the system was never helpful. Danny the owner and ignore phone calls, emails and text messages. Always said he was too busy or too far away to get there to fix what he installed. If interested I have copies of all the emails, text messages and phone calls.
Only a fool would use these people.

Danny is a wonderful person to work with. He and another worker came on the promised day. They installed the panels quickly and efficiently. I had a 5 panel solar system initially and they removed this before installing the new one. Once they were done, Danny did a great job with the clean up. He is very good and I trust him with the work. He even took the old solar system away at the end of the project. When I had the 5 panel system, he serviced it until I was ready to replace it.

I engaged this company to install solar panels on my roof. The total cost of the job was to be about $24,000 before rebates and credits for an 8.25kW system. I think this was a good price.
Last October, they prepared the quote which I used to apply for a big energy company grant. I went through the required energy company audit. The grant was approved in May and I let the company know. The system must be installed within 90 days of approval in order to receive the grant money.
They came to do the install. The spent about an hour as they started to install something on the side of the garage and they marked out, on the roof, the lines for the panel mounts. Then, suddenly, they realized that because of building codes and the fact that my home does not have an insulating space between the roof and ceiling,  they would not be able to install it without ruining my interior wood plank and beam ceiling. They offered no reasonable alternative, and it was too late to engage another company before the time for the grant ran out.
So I wasted nine months, a $16,000 rebate (which isn't easy to get), and a $2,500 tax credit I really could have used this year because they didn't think to look at the interior of the home before the installation. To say this was a disappointment is an understatement.
They claim they've never seen a house built this way but I know a number of homes in the area (this is a beach community) that are built exactly the same way. I realize they lost a lot on this job, but frankly it's entirely their own fault, and they cost me time and money as well.

The entire process was smooth and easy dealing with Guardian Solar.  From the initial inquiry to start up they were timely and very helpful.  Angie in the office even completed the paperwork required for the rebates and electrical connection.  When I got the go ahead from the power company to turn on the system, the panels did not work right and Danny came out the next day to correct the issue.  Excellent customer service!!!

Called on the day of service and was there when he said he would be. Started the job completed it in just a few hours. Took off the old panels and replaced them with the new ones. Danny and his crew cleared all the old unit away and walked around to see it was working correctly. He showed me how to operate it and said if I had any problems or questions don't hesitate to call him. I would recommend him to all.

I was very pleased with the price and the installation. We've been getting very hot water ever since the panels and tank were installed. Danny's quote was the lowest we received. I don't see any reason to go with a more expensive company.

Do not confuse this company with the other similarly named company that has gotten very bad press.  They are not the same company.

I went through Angie's List and called every solar HW installer that was licensed and insured.  I probably got quotes and estimates from 75% of the companies i contacted.  Not knowing much about solar HW I was a little surprised to find out that of the 8 companies that gave me quotes only one(Solar Source) had a different brand panel and water tank from the others.   With the exception of one, I felt comfortable with all the installers i met with so my decision came down to price and the possibility of going with Solar Source's product.  Guardian's quote came in so much lower than his competitor's quotes it really became a choice of whether i wanted to pay extra for the more efficient and potentially higher quality Solar Source panel and tank.  I chose Guardian because his quote was so much lower than Solar Source's that i could not justify paying more money for a slight increase in efficiency.

It has been about a month since the install and the system is running beautifully.  Guardian has surprised me with how they have apparently provided all the necessary paper work for the TECO rebate and the Federal Tax Credit.

At this point i am very happy with the system and with Guardian.

I had a very simple install because of the proximity of the existing water heater and asphalt roof. Danny and his two guys showed up and did a very professional and quick install of the solar water heater. Funny and friendly to boot, it turns out all three were ex pats from Massachusetts like my wife and I. Danny was also quick to respond to any calls after the sale (none of them problems with the system) We could'nt be happier with the Guardian system, it's been in about three weeks now and churning out huge amounts of hot water. The tank is set for 150F max, and I reset the electric backup to 105F to maximize the solar input, while still maintaining sufficient shower temperature in the furthest shower. We've had 80 gallons worth heated by the sun to 150F almost every day (St Pete area) usually between about 11AM to 4 PM. This is in the record cold period we've experienced this year (2010) through mid March. I would definitely use Guardian Solar again, and am now looking for more uses for all the hot water this system is making! I

Danny came out and did the estimate convenient to my schedule. Took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. Installation was scheduled promply and work was performed as contract on time.
