These guys performed a complex list of jobs with a two man team under a crazy deadline. They're now saved in my phone permanently. On a Sunday of a 3 day weekend (the worst day to ever find quality work) I threw up my hands in desperation and decided to look for an electrician. My wife and I had purchased a house and were remodeling it, but our contractor was falling short in every way. As I asked him to help me trace a complete mess of electrical wires in the attic, his eyes went glassy. I knew then that I needed professionals. I placed some ads on Craigslist - trying to use the power of the internet, and had a bunch of missed opportunities. In addition, I created my own ad for electrician wanted. I specified must be licensed. James contacted me, sent me an email, and included his license. He also said it was $90/hr for him and his brother to come out together. this told me three things: #1: He paid attention to detail in my ad #2: They go out proactively and seek out more work, and #3: He gave the impression that he knows what the **** he's doing. (which turned out to be the case). At first The $90/hr seemed high, but I then realized it was for TWO people - and anyone that knows complicated electrician work knows that two people can accomplish MORE than twice the amount of work than one person can in the same amount of time. That's 45/hr for one person, which is far less than the going rate for a master electrician. Why is two people better? Well it might not be for you, but is sure was for me! They have to trace switches, circuits, breakers, safety issues, etc. Have you ever tried to trace something yourself in a house that was a disaster? These guys came with the right tools, the radios, and instilled confidence the minute they walked up my driveway. Of course, I was a typical customer and kept adding "this" or "that" to their list, trying to squeeze in a little bit more work. We touched bases throughout their work to see where we stood time/moneywise. They didn't work a few hours and stand around and take breaks. They just worked..solid...continuous. Through all of this they never complained, grunted, or looked shocked when I added things - they just kept on truckin' without skipping a beat. When they left the house that day, I felt confident. Confident that my house wouldn't catch fire, confident that they performed their work perfectly - confident in every way. After all - isn't that what I was paying for? Confidence that someone else completed a task in the exact proper way as they should, because I don't have the same education or training to do it myself. Even if they were expensive (which they're not) the primary question is safety, and cost is second on the list. Update 2/27/17: James came out again - on a Sunday, a week later...but not because he did something wrong, but because I told him electricity in the room wasn't working. He informed me throughout the day of his status until he arrived. He found the problem, but it was not a mistake - it was a GFCI circuit in the fuse panel that had been tripped. I didn't know about it. He showed me, and then left with a smile. He didn't try to gouge me for more money, knowing that I had paid a good wage for professional expertise the week prior. If I ever need anyone again, I'm calling these guys. I do not know them personally, but would recommend them to anyone. Anyone that knows what the heck they're doing, works their *** off, is punctual, proactive, and makes me feel very confident in the outcome...will ALWAYS have my vote
