This is the second time we've hired this company. First time about a year ago to replace several windows with new impact resistant windows and a sliding glass door. This time they came back and replaced both our entry doors and another sliding glass door. Very pleased with both efforts, would definitely recommend their services.

Went great! Excellent and professional pricing upfront. Installation was several weeks ahead of promised time frame. Installation work was excellent with multiple crews completing the removal and installation of about 17 windows a a set of large sliders in a single day. I highly recommend

Clearwater Windows was one of five contractors I had provide proposals for the 22 windows (that's a lot) we wanted to replace. They provided an excellent in home review of our needs with discussion of window options and made us feel very comfortable that we were dealing with an honest businessman we could trust. We chose a PGT window solution. From a pricing standpoint he was upfront and indicated he wasn't going to play any games with pricing and would give us his good pricing upfront. He was very confident we would find it to be competitive or better than any other vendor we engaged. His pricing was as promised, right at the lower end of the scale and significantly less than some of the vendors advertising on TV all the time. He kept his presentation totally positive about his company and the PGT product. Not a single word to bad mouth any other company or product unlike we had heard from some others. We ended up ordering all vinyl window replacements and even decided to order a set of sliders for a 12' opening from family room to the patio. Installation won't be for a couple more months. I'll update my review after the install

Installers were nice and considerate. They have worked for the company for years. A couple of times they did not come as planned but I was called ahead of time for them to reschedule. You need to be flexible with contractors as they have bigger customers (condo's etc)

No complaints so far with labor. Wished the company had informed me prior to installation to obtain energy audit prior to installation in order to receive rebate from duke energy. Inegilible for rebate now.

Excellent in all aspects. Explained what they were doing. Explained why they did what they did. Answered all our questions. Were on time - did not waste time. Were prompt, courteous, and VERY neat!! No need to clean up after them, which we find is extremely rare in construction, re-hab, etc. work.
We are now planning to have the rest of our windows replaced with the hurricane and quot;proofand quot; windows. Several years ago, this company did five other windows. Obviously, we are most pleased with their product, their price and their professionalism.

They did a fantastic job. The only thing that we are still waiting for is the window for the garage because there was something wrong with it and so they said they would replace it, I'm still waiting for it but everything else came right just wonderful. I would recommend to anybody. They were really good. They cleaned up everything.

I was pleased with their work ethics they kept at it until the job was completed. It was a big job with two men working solid. They came early in the morning and stayed until the evening it took two days. I was very satisfied with the work and the outcome.

Good price. We had a few issues with the installation, but the owner went out of his way to fix the problems. A door had a scratch on it and they changed it out without any problems. They were very punctual and are nice people to work with.

Clearwater Window and Doors is a very professional operation. James, the salesman, provides a detailed overview of the work and a very accurate estimate. Rodney and Mike the installers are punctual and get the job done perfectly. Several of my neighbors have also used them and have been quite happy with the quality of work done.

From the get-go, nothing went well. On the day of installation, the installers said that the owner had forgotten to order the window. The screen door that they brought was for a lanai and not for a front door. The door handle for the front door was faulty and not the color that I ordered as stated in the contract. The owner said that they only deal with one co. for their handles and that they didn't carry the color that I wanted. The salesman was the one who suggested the color.
The window was measured along with the doors, but apparently the information never got back to the office. I guess they can't read contracts, either.
It is now JULY 23, and I finally have everything. I have a screen door that costs $88 at Lowes and was charged $263 for it. The owner said that part of the cost was the labor. What?
I would say that the salesman who was new, was not trained at all. The installers were WONDERFUL!! They were polite and came when scheduled. They cleaned up well when they finally finished up.
This whole job should have been completed by the middle of June. I would say that a lack of communication there, was one of their main faults. I have used them in the past, and all went extremely well. Different owner/manager this time who knows nothing about customer satisfaction. To me, if they don't carry the color handle that I wanted, they should have gotten one from another company that does. How about Lowes/Home Depot where they apparently got the screen door.
Never again!!!!!

The workers showed up on the alloted day, early but ready to go by 8 am on both days. The first day had the old patio poor removed and replaced along with the large front window. This was a large job due to the size of the door (16X8) and the window(8X6) especially with the weight of the hurricane glass. Everything was done and cleaned up by 4 pm including removing all the old materials.
Day 2 also started by 8 am and included removing all the rest of the windows and the replacement with the hurricane models. The second day there was only 1 worker as the load was much less. All finishing inside and out was perfectly done-better than before in most cases.
The complete job was done on the days specified, on budget and well performed. There were no complaints from condo board or neighbours and many neighbours came by to inspect for their own future replacements.

Work went smoothly. Use of windows demonstratd, and the condo was left clean.

I contacted 4 companies to give me bids to install windows and doors in my home.  Clearwater Window and Door came to my home and James the Sales Person was  very confident and professional.  They gave me a bid which I thought was very good.  They gave me a time that the windows and doors would be delivered and installed.  The installers showed up and did great work.  I had doors with custom blinds  that needed to be removed.  They did an outstanding job removing the blinds and placing them on the new doors.  They saved me money because I did not have to have the Blind company come out and install new blinds on the new doors.  The installers were punctual and professional and had  great sense of humors.  I enjoyed them being in my home.  I would recommend this company.

blebWe called several companies to provide quotes and we're surprised at the price variation, often in the same brand of window. James from Clearwater arrived right on time and provided samples and a timely quote for the whole job. Upon comparing products and prices, we decided on Clearwater and went to their showroom to sign the contract. At that time we changed to Custom Window brand of windows and PGT for the patio doors and pricing was virtually the same. We preferred the windows due to double locks on each window and the patio doors due to more heavy duty sliding screens, otherwise we found the products very similar. We decided on an installation date about 2 months down the road and James looked after permits and permission from our condo Assn.tThe delivery went very well as Rodney and Chris arrived bright and early on the arranged date and had the doors and large front windows done by late afternoon and the other windows the next day by noon. He was very professional and thorough. The only glitch was a broken marble sill in the master bedroom that had happened previously. Rodney picked up a replacement for me and changed it with no additional Labour charge, only the cost of the material.
Altogether the whole experience was great.

James Jackson, the owner of Clearwater Window and Door , came out, measured and prepared the bid on the spot. I had two additional bids from very reputable firms with excellent recommendations from Angie's List. The bid from Clearwater Window and Door was considerable lower than the other two for the exact same service and the same product. They ordered the windows, gave me an estimated window delivery date. They and notified me when the windows came in and scheduled a mutually acceptable window installation date. Their installers arrived exactly as scheduled. They were very professional and did an excellent job of installing the windows. I was very pleased with their work and the finished product. One window had a small manufacturing discrepancy and a replacement sash was immediately ordered. However, when the crew came back out to repair a minor defective caulk, they were able to correct the manufacturing discrepancy on the spot. I highly recommend their service and intend to use them for the remainder of the windows I plan on replacing provided their prices remain competitive.

I thought they were efficient. There was a bit of a delay getting the windows. They followed up immediately, and corrected the problem.

They were helpful and explained our choices very well. The people that installed the windows were very nice and they cleaned up after themselves.
