Buyer Beware, Chapman's was here on Monday morning to perform the lawn care at my place of employment. They broke a window in my car, then denied any wrong doing. Called there office and Dane came out and send he was not going to take responsibility. Be very careful of them. they will damage your property and walk away leaving you to pay to repair the damage they caused.

Very pleased with their service. I only wished they would fix their scheduling strategy. Overall, they are great.

Do not do business with Linda and Joe!! The following are some of the issues I had over the 6 months of using their landscaping company. I gave them chance after chance to prove they are a legitimate operation and now I regret trusting them. They currently owe me hundreds of dollars for automatic withdrawals they made on my card without completing the services that were agreed upon. They ran my card for $500.00 before they even did my first cut. Mind you I had to call to find out when they were going to start. Red flags everywhere but thought surely they wouldn’t keep money for services they did not complete. I was wrong. My flower beds were rarely touched after Joe promised me his wife would personally be assigned to making them look “so nice the neighbors would be asking who I use” (not only did she rarely show up but I had to constantly remind the landscape crew that my flower beds were included in my services). They left large portions of my lawn uncut due to claiming they cannot get their feet wet. Later I spoke to Linda and she claimed they can get their feet wet. They charged me for multiple months of a fertilization/pest control spray treatment that was completed once. When following up with why they have not returned, the company they contracted out to do the service claimed not only am I not on their list for a bi-monthly treatment but it is not even a service they are allowed to complete by law during the months of June 1 - Sept 1st. Yet Linda and Joe continued the automatic debit. The workers even broke a light and never brought it to my attention nor offered to replace it. When confronting the company over their repeated dishonest business practices and broken promises, they “fired” me as a client. Luckily I had the bank block their attempts to pull any more money from my account. The following month I received notification that even though we ended our business relationship and they owe me for multiple incomplete services, they again tried to continue to withdraw money. Never use Chapman “Professional” Lawn Maintenance!!

Experience was awful. It took almost a month to get the service actually going. We were charged an extravagant almost $800 to "clean up" the yard and it took them over a month to get to the cleanup with having to chase them around regularly as to when they were going to do it. Trying to talk to anyone is near impossible. Once the "clean up" was done they workers let the clubbing jasmine on the fence go and did not maintain its trimmed/kept appearance. It ended up looking as bad as if not worse then before they were hired on. Not sure why were were charged almost $800 in the first place if they were just going to let it go and not maintain it. The backyard lawn especially was supposed to be treated for whatever it's issue(s) were that it was drying out dying. It did not get quickly addressed and was left to just die. Will cost us another $2k-$3k to add new sod. Ground cover plants just planted before hiring them on were weed whacked and 1/2 killed either with the weed whacker or the weed killer they spread into the flower bed. When one of the workers was approached about this she merely said it was the owners responsibility to protect the plants from their workers. A NO responsibility answer and ignorance of the fact they were hired to do the upkeep not ignore the landscape and hack it up for their convenience of getting in and quickly going their cut. Just a huge disservice to the customer!

We recently hired Chapman's Lawn to do a clean up on our yard. My husband and I work a lot and don't have a lot of time to spend on yard work. We had a current lawn service that would come and mow but that's about it. They were sporadic in when they showed up. We were referred to Chapman's and they did an amazing job of cleaning up the weeds etc. in our yard for a very reasonable price. We have since hired them for our weekly mowing. In addition they treat the weeds and take care of ongoing cleanup. We love them and the lawn is already looking so much better than before!!

Very unsatisfied with the service. They destroyed portions of the lawn by cutting it too short. They also cut through one of my sprinkler lines by overly aggressive edging and lack of attention to detail. I do not recommend this service.

I should not have picked this company. Old sod was cut out, new sod down. The first day they did not have enough sod to finish, 3 days later they came back. Now mind you this is a small front yard approx. 600sq ft. My first glance of the job after completion, I was highly disappointed. Honestly it looked bad. Very unprofessional. I would have been embarrassed to have my name on that job. The sod was all lumpy, the grade was not correct, even after i spoke to the rep of the co. & adv i wanted the grade done right. It was not done correctly. They placed the decorative brick. The line of bricks were crooked & uneven, the line of sod on one end of property, ( close to the property line ) that line was staggered. You would think it could have been a straight line. They did return to try & fix this awful looking job. My lawn as far as the grade goes is much higher then it used to be, i could place a pitchers mound in the middle of it, & it would look great. Highly disappointed in this job. At least the grass is green.

They do a good job. We have a contract with them so we'll keep using them. They should have been a little more cautious with the weeds. We have an Oak in the front yard and they didn't maintain the weeds last year while they should have. They came and fixed it for us though and hopefully it won't happen again. They've been very careful.

I am not happy with them and I will probably be changing. They do an adequate job. I don't call them, it's an automatic thing. They come out once a week.

Perfect. They arrived on time and worked hard thru the scheduled time period accomplishing more than I expected based on a previous providers work.

They provide "Maintenance" of your yard for a higher price compared to other mowing companies; which is okay if they provided added services.  They just mowed the grass.  When we approached the office about pulling weeds, picking up branches after a storm and making the yard look nice they were rude to us on the phone.  I was told that we don't know what Maintenance is.  We believed that it meant more than just mowing the grass.  Because we do not have the same understanding what the word Maintenance means we felt it was time to end there services on our property. My husband had paid for the whole month of July; but they did not mow on July 31, 2015 the last Friday of the month.  So they got our money with out doing the job.  Lucky them!   The men who worked on our yard were very nice and polite.  The OFFICE staff has the issues and determine the pricing.

Tried to contact them for lawn cutting (normal backyard and small front yard) and explained I could not afford it weekly, she kept trying to convince me I needed to take care of it weekly. Was already not interested in doing business. Bad business practice to try to push it on someone

The provider provided us with 2 options to complete the work.  This was good since we could choose the best option for us to control costs.  They did an excellent job and completed ahead of schedule.  We will definitely use them again should the need arise.  We now have room for a garden and a children play area.

The getting a hold of them was the most difficult part.  After buying the "Big Deal," on Feb 19th, we waited the amount of business days they indicated for our call, but it never came, even though the e-mail confirmed our purchase.  I e-mailed them twice on the 24th and got bounced back messages saying "Your message cannot be delivered."  However their auto-reply came through saying they received our message and would review the matter immediately.  Later that day I called and received "this voice mail box is full" message.  At this point, I got worried this was a scam and I had lost my $199, but within a couple hours, Linda Chapman did call me and apologize, saying she received the e-mails, that the e-mail box nor the voice mail box was full and she would check into it. She said she just that day had received our notice of purchasing the Big Deal.   She made the appointment for us for March 2nd "in the afternoon."  We got an e-mail confirmation the day after we talked. 

On March 2nd, when the crew hadn't arrived by 2pm, I started to get worried again, as I had read on Angie's list that some people had problems getting work completed as the crews left at "quitting time" promising to come back the next day, but never did.  However, the promised two man crew, led by Andrew, arrived at about 2:30pm with tools in hand and ready to work.  After walking around the yard with us, they verbalized understanding what we wanted done, and started working immediately. They worked hard in the hot sun, only stopping to rehydrate, completing all the tasks we had asked for.  We checked with them during the job to be sure they would get at all the weeds here and there, then talked afterward to check the job was complete.  It was, and they gave suggestions for further upkeep and maintenance.  Overall we are very happy with Andrew and his co-worker and felt they did a great job!

The office should really work on their communication situation, however. 

It was a Big Deal purchase. They did a great job. They were punctual and professional.

I never had the opportunity to thank them so hopefully they will read this and know that I really loved it...& appreciated the great work. Also, I think they may have forgotten a rake in my yard and I still have it leaning against the wall in my back yard. So please contact me, if it is yours and you need to pick it up. Thanks.

They did a very nice job on everything I asked them to do, and even cleared away some bamboo overgrowth.

Requested quote for cleanup and ongoing maintenance. The quote was fair and we agreed on the service and scope of the cleanup job. I had to call for the lawn service after they did not arrive the first week. They did not arrive for the cleanup within a week after we signed the contract. I called a second time and we agreed that they would arrive the following Tuesday or Wednesday ( there were no issues of weather on either day). After they did not arrive either day and waiting 2 weeks from when we signed the contract , I called to cancel the service.

The guy that came out to do the estimate was very nice but the men he sent to do the work were not. They used the weed eater and took a chunk of paint out of my car. I was not satisfied with their work. They were supposed to cut down a hedge 2 to 3 feet they only cut it 2-3 inches. I was quite disappointed. They charged me twice what was quoted to me. The man gave an estimate $40 for two hours and they charged me $80 for one hour and twenty minutes. They should have warned my aid to move her car before using the weed eater near her vehicle.  They told me the man that gave the estimate was not really their boss and that they could charge what they felt like. Their attitude was bad.
