We were trying to help everyone we could before the storm because they already had a roof issue. Sounds like Mike did a good job on figuring out the leak and what it was going to take to fix it. The product you bought did not include replacing ridge vent, ridge vent is not something you caulk or tar. Mike is certified and very professional, Mikes notes from your home, Frank & [Member Name Removed] wrote estimate to replace roof and also optional cost to replace metal ridge vent with Cobra 3. They have leak in garage which has no penetrations so only logical spot is metal ridge vent. They indicated they would be getting multiple bids and be in touch if wanting to move forward."
