Bestway Lawn Care

I would never hire these guys under any circumstances again or recommend them. Three times they didn’t show up at all and Owner not responsive constant problems with every crew they sent.

OK for a while since I started with them in June 2019. I had to constantly remind them of the agreement we had. The same lawn boy was in charge many times did not complete all the work needed and I would have to watch them to be sure they got it all done. The lead lawn boy could not do what I asked him. As agreed he was not to work at my place on the week ends but he would come on Saturday anyway. Bestway's lawn boy could not or would not do his job as agreed. When he came this Saturday days late I went out and asked him if he was in charge of the weed wacking and I started to show him the areas that were missed. He tried to tell me the weedwacking I was asking for was not required but, when I cornered him with the facts and showed him he was not doing what was agreed upon he became violently angry, He yelled , **** you and **** you you ****** and then said he wanted to punch me in the face. I am a 71 year old widower and I don't like being bullied and intimidated for asking for my agreed upon lawn service. The Bestway office hardly ever answers their phone, after two years I only got them on the phone once. I don't want people like that around me or my home. The Bestway people might find some better people to work for them. Until then as far as I'm concerned Bestway is the worstway to get your lawn done.jh

Didn't do very good good on trimming outside of that it was good.

It took them 3 weeks to finish the job. What happened is, they put in the lawn and advised me to maintain it by watering it and cut it, I even hire a lawn maintenance person to do the job, after it was cut, you will see that it was all brown but this is a brand new lawn. I called them but they are not returning the calls, when they finally return my call, they told me that they can't do anything about it. They are not returning my calls and don't even want to come over and check the lawn.

They were fast in providing a quote, fast in providing the first service and constant in providing quality care of the lawn.

If you ever do have an issue they're responsive and they're very careful to do things exactly as you want.

Very unprofessional. I would not recommend them.

This company Proves that you truly get what you pay for. I have a postage stamp sized front yard and a fenced in backyard with a 6 foot fence. I emailed the owner no less than four times In the 6 months I've used their services to tell him that my backyard is not being serviced . The owner's staff showed up when they wanted on whatever day they wanted, and only weed whacked my tiny little front yard. Not even a quarter of the items they committed to were tended to.

We terminated their service. It was repeated problems, they would not do things they were supposed to do as far as trimming some of the vines and weeds. They were cutting the grass too short. They were the ones who were buzzing over the  sprinkler heads. I'm blind, so my neighbor would have to remind me that I'm shooting up geysers in the back when my sprinklers come on. So I've got to call them back out here to replace it and of course they did at no charge. That has happened more than once. One of the guys backed over our mailbox. He knocked it down to the ground, so we had to call him back. He just drove away, didn't stop, didn't say anything, didn't say boo. I don't know how you could miss doing that or how he wouldn't know it. Anyway, I called them and they came back and they replaced it. It was sort of an inferior job, so I hired a handyman who did the job right. We just got tired of the problems we were having with them and paying them more than we're paying for the current one, so we said, "It's time for a change." We talked to some other people down here, relatives, family, friends and neighbors and they said, "You know in Florida, you change lawn companies about every six months." It's just common practice. They get tired of you or you get tired of them or something, it is rare to have one for any period of time. I don't know if they took advantage of my disability or what the problem was, but I just got tired of the stuff, so we just fired them and hired a new one, which seems to be working out very well. They came by every week.

Stay away. Bestway is just plain awful. I signed a one-year contract with Bestway to care for my lawn and weed my beds. This was a huge mistake. They repeatedly skipped my lawn and seldom, if ever, weeded my beds unless I asked them to. Two of my neighbors used them as well. I would come home and find their lawns mowed, but not mine. The first time it happened, I called and was told that my lawn was too wet. It had been raining, so I said OK. The second and third time was unacceptable. I would call the office and ask to speak to the manager, but he would only communicate using email. Even when I threatened to leave, he still would not call. Needless to say, I now have a new lawn service. Look elsewhere for good service.

I can no longer afford to have you butcher my lawn. So far I have had to . . . 1. Buy new hose because they kept running over old hose ? Cost $35.00 2. Buy post hose holder because they never pick up hose before the run over it ? Cost $40. 3. Two bags of dirt needed to fill in ruts in lawn from lawn mower ? Cost $10. 4. Three butterfly bushes that they pulled out that were just recovering from storm damage ? $52. 5. one aloe plant that was behind an edging that they weed whacked down to the ground ? $5 6. One mexican heather plant that replaced the above aloe plant ? mexican heather weed whacked to ground ? $10 7. Remaining hose attached to the reclaimed water that was only exposed on the ground about 4? next to the bushes ? cut and water pouring out ? can no longer water lawn with it. Have to buy second hose. -- Cost $35. 8. We raked up storm damage branches in two piles in the back yard to make it easier for your guys to clean up ? they did not pick up, they ran the mower over the piles. 9. They pruned backyard shrubs and around yard and left pruned branches lying where they fell. 10. They weed whacked yellow lantana flowers in a bed stripping some of the branches of their leaves So I have had to expend over $185. in repair materials and gardening supplies for my lawn. Please refund one week?s worth of services ($21. ASAP. Please do not return to our property ? I am afraid of more damage!

Horrible job removed only 1/2 the weeds so call weed killer was water weeds didn't die. Workers had no idea what they were doing. Took a electric chain saw to my orange tree which wasn't supposed to be touched. Not even 1/2 work done called many times Don the manager wouldn't return my calls. Paid only part of bill said they have to finish weeding to get balance never hear from them again. Sent pictures of what was misses with a note I was ignored. Within 2 weeks all weeds were back. Stay away from this company spent several hundred dollars was a big time mistake.

I signed up for monthly lawn service, 4 times a month in summer and twice in winter. The first 3 times were on Friday and they did a good job. I even got some quotes on landscaping from them. I got and paid my first invoice, and then they started to not show up. Before I realized this was the norm for them, I had them do my landscaping, which cost a little over 800.00. I wanted them to do it so they could maintain it monthly also. The first red flag popped up when I called to let them know I had a new driveway installed and it needed to set for 4 days, so please don't drive on it with the mowers. The man I talked to gave me attitude by saying I was a new customer and they hadn't even cut my lawn once yet! After some discussion, and him asking me 3 times if I lived at three different addresses, he acknowledged that they had started service and done work. As I write this, my lawn has not been cut for two weeks, and I had to get help to save the trees they planted and the other plants redone. I am looking for another lawn service, and I suggest anyone to stay away from this company.

Representative, I believe his name is Dan, would always follow up with contact, however, it tools weeks to get someone out the first time. He blamed the rain as the issue. News flash it is rain season in Florida... that doesn't mean you stop working. You just work smarter and more efficiently. Business 101

Bestway had an A rating on Angie s list when I first hired them two years ago.  We had them do some landscaping, which went well. They did lawn maintenance, albeit at a higher cost than other estimates, but they did good work for quite a long time over the last couple of years. Then about six months ago their work went downhill.  they did not show up all the time and did not spend enough time when they did, e, g. they did  not  the spray the weeds.  When we complained, they did send someone out, but that also became intermittent.  Now they have let the lawn go again and I am regretfully looking for a new service.  For the most part their workers were good and reliable, until things went bad.  They still have some good employees that they would send out to fix complaints, but the they did not show up on a regular basis. They used to be good, but now I could not recommend therm to anyone.  Now they have a well deserved C rating.

Buyer beware! Clifford quoted me $595.00 to do leaf cleanup on my small front and back yard and some flower beds.  When I said I could not afford that price he dropped it to $300.00.  He said for $300.00, 2 men would be there for a couple hours. Well, 2 men completed the job in less than an hour and I felt totally taken to have paid $300.00 for less than an hour worth of work.  And worse, he first tried to get me for $595.00.  Also, the same day I received the bill in the mail they left me a past due message on my voice mail!

Cliff and Don don't believe in sharpening the mower blades.  My lawn always looked terrible.  Dull blades only push the grass over and rips rather than cuts which weakens the grass and allows weeds to take over.  I spoke with Cliff and Don several times about the problems and gave them every opportunity to fix the problems.
They failed.  THEY'RE FIRED!!

I am so tired of this company.....Clifford was great but I do not think he even owns the company any longer.  Don rarely responds to anything and always denies that his crew has ever done anything.....CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG!
I paid  for two months in advance since we were going on vacation.....put pavers on both sides of plants that I did not want them to kill.  Upon return, have couple of  two feet tall weeds, flower beds are covered in weeds and plants have been sheared off at paver level.  I had weeds in every rock bed, around the pool....everywhere they are supposed to spray.  I caught the guy and he told me he is new (duh, they always are) and had only been doing my yard for 2 weeks and apoligized for the sheared plants.  He said he would get my beds back in shape for me but that I needed to give him 2 weeks to do it......nevermind that I pay in advance for this crappy service!
All in all they have cost me a lampost (which I had removed), part of a blow-up X-mas decoration, several plants and on top of that I pay a premium for spraying and have weeds everywhere.....lovely eh?  DO NOT HIRE THEM

Great job!

Up until the first week of April it was fine.  I even asked Don if we could pay $60 for the winter since he'd only come out every other week & he said yes, because we're good customers (we pay on time).  HOWEVER, Christmas was weird.  I sent Bestway a Christmas bonus in a Christmas CARD (!) but he called when we were in Canada on business (he left a message) & told me he literally didn't understand what the extra check was for ???  I called him & told him, Don, I presumed you'd KNOW snce it was in a Christmas card & he replied "well, obviously I didn't" OK THAT was weird !!!  LOL I even asked hubby Richard & he told me "put it in a Christmas card."  Then, like I said, things were fine UNTIL the first week in April when NOBODY showed up!!!  They were SUPPOSED to come out Fri, Apr 4 but nobody came - even AFTER I spoke to Don TWICE on the phone (!) ON THAT FRIDAY & he assured me someone would be here Fri, Apr 4.  NOTHING!!!I called, e-mailed, AND left a message in the office for Don over the weekend.  NO REPLY!!!  Finally, Monday, Apr 7 comes, I call Ben & Don MANY times - ugh - finallly spoke to Don around 9:30 & they came about an hour later.  Then, Friday, Apr 11 they came AGAIN!!!  I spoke to Don & he said "oh we'll come out the first week in May & I won't charge you."  Seriously, WOW, how Generous - UGH!!!!  This company came THIS CLOSE to having ME go after them for a $25 refund!!!!  SHAME on you Bestway!!!  They gave me THREE out of FOUR cuts OMG - In other words they RIPPED us off!!!  SMH I can't get over this BUT we have a NEW lawn service who I presume will be better!!!
I just can't believe we were ripped off by a lawn service - UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The only reason I am NOT asking for a $25 refund is because I KNOW they'll either say OK but we'll never get it OR say NOPE can't do that.

Great service, good quality and great price! I don't get anything fancy done, just a front/back lawn trim every 2-3 weeks, but for what it is and the price I continue to use them.

Well it is now December and this time they ran over the restraints that were holding our blow up x-mas decorations.  I had them inflated when they were here so they would see them.....they only broke one ground stake and support instead of running the mower over the entire decoration.  I am not sending them a complaint because they do not acknowledge complaints.  Looking for a new lawn service!!!  DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
