Even before we had signed a contract, but after explaining to them what I wanted to have done, Dave and Jenny had me go with them to a tile store, a granite place and a bathroom fixture showroom to pick out those materials.  They were not sure they'd be hired, but spent a lot of time with me.  When I confirmed that I wnted to hire them, they brought in all of their subcontractors and explained the scope of the work each was to perform in order to obtain cost estimates to prepare the contract in detail, outlining everything from the demolition of the master bathroom to the smallest detail.  We went to contract in late October and demolition in the master bath  began right away. We could not do both bathrooms at the same, of course,  There were delays caused by that, the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays, and the intermittent scheduling conflicts among the subcontractors.  Both bathrooms were finished at the beginning of April, so it took a little over five months for the remodeling.
