I'm angry, frustrated, and annoyed with Absolute A/C & Heating. I used to think they were ethical and professional. In the summer of 2014, we bought our HVAC system from them for $4000. In October of 2018 I had them come out for my yearly HVAC maintenance (cost was $79.95 which used to be $59.95). The technician was here a total of 40 mins max and he told me everything was good and the system ran great. They said that the only thing I needed was a new UV light that needed to be replaced, which I had originally bought from them for $226 in addition to the $4000 HVAC system. I told the technician to please go ahead and get me a new one and install it. His reply was that he would get it ordered with Brook (Office Manager) and once it came in, he would let me know so he could install it. I never heard back from him or the office manager, so I figured they got busy with the holidays coming up. In the past, they were usually pretty prompt and would charge me $100 to $150 for a new lamp. (As a side note, I recently found out that you can buy a replacement UV lamp for half the price on amazon!) On Jan. 28, 2019 I called Brook to ask what the model number of the UV lamp was and she said she didn't know because she had to look it up and would let me know once she found it. Again, I didn't hear back so I decided to go into the attic and find it myself. Once I got the air handler panel opened, I saw that it was filthy with what looked like black mold and I had to clean the entire unit myself with Lysol wipes and a vacuum (see attached image) which could have been avoided if the technician had cleaned it back in October as well as gotten me a new UV lamp to replace the burned out one. The worst part is that one of the wire nuts was charred as well as melted off exposing the wiring (see attached image). I could NOT believe that this was overlooked by the technician. At the very least, he could have told me about it if he wasn’t going to address/fix it. This is a huge fire hazard and having a 2-year-old in the house, makes this extremely unacceptable putting all of us at risk. It’s infuriating to hear a technician tell you that everything looks good, when in fact it was the complete opposite. To remedy the situation, I ended up going to Lowes to buy some new wire nuts and replacing both myself. I also ordered a new UV light kit (same exact type) on eBay for $90 which I will install myself. Needless to say, I will NOT use Absolute A/C & Heating ever again! Like the old adage says, “If you want it done right, do it yourself”.

The job went very well, the tech explained that we had a small Freon leak. He gave us a few choices basically good, better, best options. He wasn’t pushy with my wife and aloud us to make a decision that was best for us. It was a pleasant surprise, most companies usually just push a decision on you. I highly recommend this company!

I originally hired Absolute to install a new AC unit in my house 6 years ago. They did a good job. Recently it started getting very hot & would only cool for short periods of time. I had a contract for maintenance with another company but I had not been very happy with their reliability. I decided to give Absolute a call when I seen the coupon on Angie’s List. They showed up when they promised and the same day. They are reliable and the tech did a good job. I was a bit shocked that the labor alone was was $345 for a warrantied part. I asked him if he could do it the next day so that I could pay for it then. He just did the work that day since they had a motor available. I gave him my coupon from Angie’s list and my balance was $270. I called the next day to make the payment as promised. The lady in the office had left early and I missed her. She text me the next morning saying she would call after her sons game. I did not hear from her but it was a Saturday. We actually played phone tag a few days until Chris called me to get my card number early in the morning. I gave it to him so that he could process the payment. He then text me for the exp date which I gave him. I then get a fraud alert from citi bank and Chris tells me the card was declined. I called the bank to find out they were attempting to charge the $345 when I actually only authorized $270. I then told Chris that he made a mistake. The response was a bit shocking. They told me that they did not accept the coupon and I could not use it. I sent them a picture of my signed invoice and told them this was the amount I agreed to. I have already told citi it is an authorized transaction but only for the amount of $270. They did eventually just accept it and process that payment but they first tried to overcharge me and go back to try revoke the coupon that I printed off of Angie’s list. They said it was not valid because the part was under warranty. Their own coupon said free service call if you hire us to do the work. I did hire them and they accepted it. I would not call them again because I feel this was very dishonest. They do good work but it was to me like the old bait & switch scam and that is just not honest business practices.

I found this company here. They somehow bypassed the security gate and showed up at my door unannounced. The house was hot and they smoked which was beyond inconsiderate. They claimed not to be able to find a problem with the heat and said I would need a separate call for that at another time. I paid $165 to repair a unit under warranty. A few months later when the AC broke again. I found that had broken off the pull string to the attic stairs leaving me no way to get up there. It was a mistake to call this company.

Called and received same day service, dispatcher called me back to give me a two hour window....Tech, James arrived on schedule and I could not be happier...Very professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and quick to diagnosis if any other problems needed to be addressed...Used nitrogen to clear out line and added dissolving tables to coils to clean over 3 wk period, as they were in good shape.. Moved in on a 2003 Tran unit did not know what to expect...James confirmed unit was in good condition with no additional repairs required...Excepted coupon from Angie's List.....Going forward know i will always use Absolute A/C...

Chris was supposed to come out, however we live too far. He called to apologize and offered to help us with quotes. He seemed to truly care about ensuring we get a good deal even though we weren't going to be paying customers. You just don't hear that about AC guys nowadays, so it was refreshing to hear someone offer assistance with no price tag attached! If we lived close enough, I would most definitely feel comfortable getting service from this company, and they have won my confidence to refer anyone to them! First impressions are important, and they left a great one!
