I think they're good people. People need to use them because they're honest and I've used them for years. Everything has been absolutely wonderful. In this particular situation, other companies would have had replaced the entire unit and it would have cost me thousands but they were just able to replace the individual part and that's why I saved tons of money. I would absolutely use them again.

A neighbor referred Hollandsworth AC to me - he told me that Hollandsworth AC was and quot;a lot cheaperand quot; than the bigger companies servicing our area. Mr. Hollandsworth returned my call quickly. I had discovered an issue with my A/C system, wanted it verified and repaired. We agreed on an appointment time and that there would be a $60 service fee for the diagnosis/visit and that, if service was needed, that the $60 would be applied towards the overall job. Mr. Hollandsworth and son arrived on time. They looked at my system and verified my issue. Mr. Hollandsworth told me that he has and quot;worked on many of these unitsand quot;, that my system was an and quot;experimental unitand quot; and that the manufacturer went out of business. His son backed up every word he said. Mr. Hollandsworth told me that he would try to find the worn-out part from an old unit, said it would probably take a couple of days to search for one, but told me to be prepared to purchase a whole new system for and quot;thousands of dollarsand quot; because it was not likely he would find one. He asked me to make out a check and quot;to cashand quot; for the $60 service call and told me that he would call me over the next couple of days. I decided to help out Mr. Hollandsworth by doing an online search for an aftermarket part. I was surprised to find the manufacturer still had a website. I called the number on the website and it was immediately answered. Not only is the company in business, but it makes a newer version of the unit that I currently have and it also makes the part that needed to be replaced ($152 list). The manufacturer rep gave me the name and telephone number of the local parts distributor. I called Mr. Hollandsworth, told him of my findings and told him that I was very concerned with his response. He responded by telling me that he would have figured it all out if he had had the time to do an internet search before I did. (If he has worked on and quot;many of these unitsand quot; wouldn't he have already known that the company was in business and made replacement parts?). I gave him the name and number of the distributor and told him to call them to match the parts number with my existing system and to get back to me with a quote. He never called me back.
I had 3 other companies verify and quote the same job. Everyone of them knew the manufacturer, that it was in business and that it made replacement parts for my existing unit. I cannot tell you if Mr. Hollandsworth was being deceptive or is incredibly incompetent, but I will not work with him either way. He got my $60 and that's it - it's not even worth going to small claims court to recover my and quot;service feeand quot;. I have told all of my friends and neighbors (and now Angie's List) about my experience. Buyer beware!

The Hollandsworth A/C team are the only ones I recommend to friends and family in the Central Florida area. They are clean, neat, and very professional. Most company's will over charge you for services that you do not need. They will only repair what is needed and are very prompt with their service. I called them last night for service on my rental property ($75) and my own property ($75) and they were here this morning and finished with both within a couple of hours. If your looking for a company that will get you what you need for an honest price, you have found the right company.
Back in 2008, my A/C went out in August and they replaced the 13 year old inefficient unit with a serious upgrade that was 2/3 the price of all the other estimates I received. They stand by their work and will become your A/C repair people for years to come. I highly recommend them and you will to once you give them a call.

I called Mr. hollandsworth on Wednesday and I received an immediate reply. We set up an appointment for Thursday before noon. Both Mr. Hollandsworth and his son arrived at my house at approximately 10:50. they flushed a line that was clogged and checked the freon.
I have used Hollandsworth air before and I have always received professional quality service. I have recommended them to others and they are as pleased as I am. What can you ask? Honest-friendly and professional. As long as I live in this area they are the service I will always use
