Never finished. Used old and used material. Did terrible sheet rock work and has kept my house in a mess. Never came on time and left early. Never knew when they were coming or leaving. Now I have to have someone else come in and tear things out and do over at my expence. It was a nightmare and I am far from finished.
Description of Work: Build a High End Bar for our house, 3 week job.

We contracted Dan Steele General Contractor - LC# CGC-150894 Florida, Twin Oaks Construction from Chipley, FL 850-527-7008, to rebuild our main bathroom in Panama City Beach, FL that had mold damage. He took my money and hired subcontractor through Max Home Improvement, Max Jones Owner, 850-234-01050 - Panama City Beach, FL, who then subcontracted two young boys (Jake and Joe) to lay tile who didnt have a clue to what they were doing. I never approved the subcontracting as Steele had said he was going to personally do the work. He had my money so I had no say in the work. I made a terrible mistake and went home for Christmas and left Mr. Steele and his subcontractors alone to work in my home. I was trusting and what a mistake I made. They wasted my tile, and had other people in my home drunk, eating my food and destroyed the carpet in my bedroom adjacent to my bath while I was away during Christmas. When I returned Mr. Steele and the subcontractors tried to extort more money from me to fix the problem and continue the work. I had already paid Mr. Steele in full for completing the bathroom so I refused to pay him or his subcontractors anymore money. He refused to make the workmanship right although he represented himself as a certified, bonded, and insured contractor . They ruined all my tile that I purchased for the project and damages including the rebuild by a new contractor and purchasing replacement time was in excess of $10,000. I feel this was attempt to defraud me of my insurance money paid to do the work and Mr. Steele never intended to complete the project. He left a mound of debris behind. These people are terrible. The subcontractor, Jake, damaged a floor medallion on purpose when I allowed them back in my home. I currently have a civil suit against Steele and Twin Oaks Construction. DO NOT and again I say DO NOT use any of these people. They will ruin your home and we are lucky that we had the money to complete the project ourselves. The insurance company could not pursue as insurance fraud, because the check for the money was made payable to myself and mortgage company and I paid Steele direct. He also did not complete the work our condo association paid him to do the sheet rock work. Mr. Steele restructured the bathroom floor and I had to raise the bedroom floor at additional expense so we would not have a step up safety hazard to our rental guests.....
Description of Work: This company was to rebuild a bathroom destroyed by mold damage. The bathroom was gutted when he began work. He did not rebuild a structural sound shower/bath (poor attempt at framing and installing materials and then hired subcontractors who didnt have a clue as to lay tile. He used roof water proof materials and installed with screws destroying his waterproof attempt.... He did not guarantee his work and the work he did was inferior and had to be totally torn out and he left a live electrical wire in the wall. I had to hire someone else to demo the bath again, build the new shower/bath and he his subcontractors ruined all the original tile and I had to buy new tile again to do the actual job by a reputable tile contractor.
