Company was supposed to contact us by Saturday and didn't. I called that evening and scheduled between 4-6 on Monday. At 6 Incalled and was told tech would be out by 7. At 7:15 was told he was caught in traffic. He arrived at 7:30 and didn't speak a word of English. Having talked to lady at company the thermostat was the thought to be the problem. He changed thermostat and checked the Freon at compressor. He couldn't tell me why he changed the thermostat and just gave me the box not even explaining how to work it as it was a little different. I called company back when system run on continued and call after call said mailbox was full. I finally left a message which wasn't returned. I finally got through with same dispatcher 8 days later and she offered many excuses about tech not speaking Englishnas owner hires all Spanish speaking and only one that she could send out would be 2 days later that could communicate. She said county was 85% Spanish which is wrong as excuse when there is no excuse for tech not be able to communicate as after all this is still the United States of America

They diagnosis the problem and provided the report needed and all details to understand what was wrong with our installation. The owner Kim was extremely knowledgeable about AC units and made recommendations for which we are very grateful.

It went very well. They removed the AC unit that was giving me problems and they placed a new Rheem units that is working great. I spoke with the owner and I feel good about the transaction. I will use them in the future.

I did not have a good experience with them. They were top rated on Angie's List. I would not suggest them because the price that they quoted was only for the second floor of our house and I researched another place who quoted that same price for the first and second floor combined. They were charging actually double for one floor and that was ridiculous, and then when they cleaned our dryer vent which I actually did pay for the price that they charged for the dryer vent I could have found a lot cheaper on other places that I researched later. They charged me just like $95 to clean up the dryer vent, which could have been like $50. The fact that they were top rated on Angie's List and I mentioned that to them when they came to the house, I said the reason I choose you to come is because you are top rated on Angie's List and he did not seem to care one way or the other.

"Dear [Member name removed], We do not have a record of us quoting you a $1,000 for duct cleaning. In fact, our price is normally $35 per supply vent. This entails two technicians removing the supply vent, cleaning it and also operating the $12,000 Duct Cleaning machine inside your duct work to remove any dirt and then replacing your supply vent. Also, while we do normally clean dryer vents for approximately $95 - this includes our trip charge - two men driving to your house, setting up the large duct cleaning machine and climbing up any ladders necessary to access your dryer vent. We have a Florida State HVAC license, carry $2 million General Liability insurance and workman's compensation insurance. With drive time, this is normally more than 2 man hours of work. We feel this is a reasonable charge. Feel free to call us if you would like to discuss further."

Overall, this job went great!! We are so happy with the service and the people who work at Air 1 HVAC. I definitely recommend them to everyone who needs A/C service!
