Description of Work: I contacted them to quote me a price on replacing an air conditioning unit in our condo in Florida. When I was contacted by Air 1 the conversation started out with our hot water heater was bad and we needed to replace a shut off valve at a cost of approximately $850. I expressed concern that I wanted a quote on a A/C unit replacement and what I got was other issues. It appeared that she was using "scare tactics" to get me to replace these or we may experience significant cost of a pipe burst or the water heater fails. I explained to her that due to the cost of the repairs I usually get additional estimates. I am the type of consumer that gets right to the point but am very loyal. I sent her a text expressing my interest in receiving her bid for the a/c unit. That was back in mid July and so far i have not heard from her and we had our unit replaced by Aurora Air and they did a great job but that's another story. My advice is be careful I am not saying they r terrible but I get the impression they like to up sell but i may be wrong.

Description of Work: Maintenance / service of two air conditioner units at our rental house. We paid for this out of pocket. Through our home warranty company, the replaced the thermostat which had broken.

Description of Work: We got a quote from Air 1 HVAC for cleaning the AC units and the vents in our house, but we did not end up using them because they were way too expensive and they did not offer their consultation, so we did not go with them. However they did clean our dryer vent, but their prices were very high.

Description of Work: HONEST, FAIR PRICED and PROFESSIONAL - these are just a few words I would use to describe this company. Our A/C broken down on August 30th. I called Air 1 HVAC on August 31st and they installed my unit the next morning! Kim, the owner, was so helpful. She sat down with us and explained everything there was to know about air conditioning. It was an overwhelming process, and Kim made it easy for us to understand. She came on a moment's notice and even brought a compact A/C unit for us to use until the new unit was up and running! She was the only person who really explained how A/Cs work, what rebates are available and what to expect during the work. Air 1's quote was lower than 2 other companies. The next morning, two men arrived promptly. They were very friendly, professional and hard working. They kept the house very clean during their work. When they were done they made sure we had no questions and walked us through how to change the filters and work the thermostats. This was one of the most pleasant experiences we've ever had with a subcontractor. Everyone in this company really cared about us. I will definitely recommend them to our friends and neighbors.
