DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They never mentioned before the move that if they break something (and they did break more than 1 item) they will pay you something like 40 cents a pound for the item. I would never have hired them knowing that. They more than 1/2 loaded their truck with my belongings then rushed me through signing a contract which apparently contained this language unbeknownst to me, they certainly didnt state it verbally. They arrived early afternoon on a saturday and worked late into the night completing the move. The movers were very nice, but clearly tired. I asked them to do the right thing to replace the one item that cant be repaired and they refused. You should hire a mover that has insurance sufficient to cover replacement costs of items they break, esp if they cant be repaired.

"Mrs. [Member Name Removed] We are so sorry your furniture was damaged. As a small, local company, we truly care about our customers and their experiences with us. We go above and beyond to show you how important you are to us. Instead of you receiving a financial recovery of $135, based on the valuation of your items with Basic Value Protection. Liberty Moves paid $274.95 for your furniture to be repaired by a professional repairman. On the day of your move, you completed a Bill of Lading/Moving Contract and released your items to a value of $.60 per lb. per item. Instead of mentioning things to you about the contract or telling you how to proceed we hand the entire document to you for you to review. So, there can be no misunderstanding. If there were any questions you could have asked your crew leader or called our office at any time. The Bill of Lading states verbatim, in a section by itself, “Basic Value Protection. I release this shipment to value of 60 cents per pound per article. This lower level of protection is provided at no additional cost beyond the base rate. However, it provides only minimal protection that is considerably less than the average value of household goods.” Regarding the item that cannot be repaired, you are requesting we pay over $800 for a dresser you released to a value of $90. That is almost 9x the coverage. We wish there was a policy available like you suggest, that covers replacement value, however, there is no such policy available. The Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services is the governing agency for all household goods moving companies in the state of Florida. The DACS knows there is an inherent risk in moving household goods and sets policies to protect the shipper and the carrier. The DACS sets the $.60 per lb. rule that you critique. As a moving company we are the regulated, not the regulators. We wish you the best."

orrible company. Broke our expensive TV. The driver was extremely Unprofessional as well as the owner we spoke with after. They were suppose to arrive between 8-10 am then 11-12. They didn't show up till after 4! They made threats towards my dog when they opened a door they knew she was at. (They didn't need to open the bathroom door) The lead was extremely Unprofessional. They didnt wrap or tape anything. The lead complained it takes longer. The job wasn't even done. This company is horrible and I would not suggest them. They were smoking pot in the back of their truck. Really bad experience don't use Liberty moves. The helper was more helpful than the lead. I'd fire the lead and make the helper the lead. Atleast he tried to pretend to care somewhat. I would have stood up for my dog btw. The lead complained and complained. Once again. Stay away from this rip off of a company.

It went well. They called ahead at the right time to give me 30-40 minutes' heads-up. They were friendly and quick, and they seemed to actually enjoy what they do. Lots of other movers, etc., give off attitudes like they resent their jobs. This wasn't the case. I appreciate all of your timely help getting me out of a scary situation (roommate troubles). It feels like a weight's lifting off my shoulders.

Ignore every other mover on here and hire Deven! I am not joking!! I have used Deven's company, Liberty Moves on three completely separate occasions now. I first learned about his company when I was looking for someone to help me move me out of my apartment. The company I hired never showed up nor would answer my phone calls the morning of my move. I had spoken with Deven on the phone the night before (which happened to also be a Sunday) and he suggested if anything bad happened to reach out to him. Well it did, and Deven scrambled to get over to my apartment to help move me out. He and his employee busted their butts getting everything loaded up and then unloaded at my new place. They didn't stand around and chit chat. They didn't take breaks. The worked in the hot Florida Summer Sun until it was all finished. I immediately hired him on the spot to move my fiancee the next week (now especially since my original mover never called me back). Once again, he and his amazing team packed up an entire apartment (on the second floor) and moved it to our new home. Still no goofing off. No standing around. Pure Professionalism. Pack the truck. Drive to the new home. Unpack the truck. When I had an emergency situation and needed help moving some more things, Deven was there again to help me out. I am happy to have found him and his company, and will continue to use him long into the future. Thank you Deven for your professionalism and hard work!

Excellent! I would recommend to anyone! I have a lot of ceramic and glass artwork that they carefully wrapped and boxed. Once we got to our new home they situated all items as requested. Great experience!

Liberty Moves made the process of moving easy and hassle free. Hiring movers can be very stressful you are essentially putting all of your belongings into the hands of someone else and you never know if they are going to jack up the rates and hold your belongings hostage for more money.
