The whole team at Gembecki was on top of it from day one. Starting with getting a quote the front office was quick to respond and very flexible in scheduling a time for someone to come out and give me a quote for replacement. Ron was great about keeping in communication to ensure i knew what was going on in the process. The day before the install Marsha in the front office called and described exactly what would happen during install and detailed what we needed to do to complete the rebates from our energy company. On install day Barry and Daquan were on time and got to work immediately. The work they did was phenomenal, They took the extra time to clean up some wiring, plumbing, and insulation issues that were left by the last company to install an AC at the residence and this shows in the end result. Beyond the AC install work they did a great job at cleaning up after themselves and left the area as clean as it was when they started. After about a month the new A/C has had no problems and is doing a great job at keeping the house cool. I have nothing but good things to say about the Gembecki team and highly recommend them for HVAC work.

After interviewing 6 different HVAC companies over a period of 2 weeks to install a NEW HVAC system at one end of our house, I finally decided to hire Gembecki Mechanical to do the installation. I was guaranteed by the estimator Ron Ward that I would be 100% happy with their installation of my NEW Trane HVAC system. Last Friday the Gembecki installers came and tore out my old system and installed the NEW Trane system. They arrived at 9am right on time and they finished the basic installation by 7pm. They were very nice guys and worked hard during the tear out and new installation. They were not slackers. I decided not to babysit them but rather leave them alone to do their job, as they are Professionals. That was my big mistake. When they finished at 7pm, they told me that they still had a few things that needed to be finished on another day. Being a Friday, I expected they would come back first thing Monday morning and finish the job. They did not. They came back Wednesday morning to complete the installation. When the work was finished, I had COLD air. But, the work they did and the decision making they did was sub-standard in many ways and they did not meet my expectations. Without going into many details, I was not happy with the installation. When asked by Ron and Marsha, if I was happy with the work, I told them both "No", I wasn't happy with the installation and they did not meet my expectations, installation wise. Does the system work and provide COLD air? YES, it does work well and the air is COLD. The the workmanship and decision making was not so great, as I was promised. In the end, the Gembecki Team were very very nice people, and I believe that they are extremely HONEST. But if you are looking for a good HVAC installation, you might want to look for another company. I now regret hiring them, but what can I do now? What's done is done. I hate writing a negative review about nice people, but I have to be honest to other home owners who are needing a NEW HVAC system installed. If an OK job is good enough for you, then Gembecki Mechanical should be considered to do the install. But if you want a top notch installation of your NEW HVAC system, you might want to find another company to do the install. I would rate my Gembecki installation a "C", FAIR. It's now installed and I have to live with it until the next time. The system works and the air is COLD. I WILL use Gembecki to do the preventative maintenance, as they gave me a 10 Year on parts and Labor Guarantee. I trust them to service the NEW unit as well as our other HVAC system, a Lennox 4-5 Ton system. But I regret having them do the NEW Trane installation. Perhaps they have other installers who do better workmanship? That may be. I just wasn't happy with the workmanship of the guys they sent to my house. I hope this review helps other home owners. I honestly wish I was writing a more positive review about Gembecki Mechanical. They seem honest and they are nice people.

They have been excellent and reliable. I have MS and I cannot be without air conditioning. They are excellent with getting out here right away to get our AC fixed. They call us in the spring and the fall to schedule coming out. We would highly recommend them and we will use them again.

They always do what they say they are going to do. They are on time, their work is exceptional and they are very neat and clean up after the work. They are the best. They are a little bit more expensive but the quality of the service is well worth every extra cent.

I had to go to their office and meet with the service manager. I told him I though Gembecki should have told me I needed to replace my AC several thousands of dollars before we reached this point. After the Service Manager spoke with the owner they credited me with enough money so that my total outlay was what a new AC cost. They did the right think but I had to push for it.

Our home is 1,030sq ft and was built in 1972. When we bought the house, we were told the HVAC was around 20 years old, and would eventually need to be replaced. Our energy bill was very expensive due to this ancient AC and old, inefficient duct work. It was expensive and yet our house wasn't actually getting or staying that cool. We got quotes from 3 different companies, including Gembecki. Price was not our only consideration, we were looking for a company that made us feel comfortable, had a reasonable price and had great customer service. While the other two companies were very nice, Gembecki is the main company that didn't obviously try to oversell us on more of a solution than we needed. George came to our home and did the estimate. He didn't needlessly upsell us on anything, and gave us a quote to fit our simple home's needs, a new HVAC system, one new air drop and new ducting. This made me very comfortable, because some of the other companies wanted to install additional systems, and extensively change things in our home. George was great at explaining everything in a way that we could understand, as this is our first home and we knew very little about air conditioning.
The installation was estimated to take two days, and that's exactly what it took. On the first day of install two very respectful, efficient and skilled workers came to our home. The first day they replaced all the old ducting. They were kind enough to install in a way that allowed us to have AC over night. They were also very thoughtful and replaced the AC vent that was closest to
my foster doggie's crate, last, to ensure he had air conditioning as long as possible during the day. On the second day the same two workers arrived and installed the new HVAC.
I would highly recommend this company. They were honest, professional and did a wonderful job.

They assessed the situation and made recommendations. We took the option for the heat pump system as we had no ducts in the house and no way to put them in the house since we have a flat roof.  So we eliminated the huge and noisy window unit in favor of a the quiet and efficient heat pump system that should reduce electric costs up to 30%.  This also eliminated the need to use the ancient and fire hazard wall heating units. The team that did the install was great including removing the old huge window unit.  We are very happy campers.

Excellent work.  They are great people to work with - very customer centered.

Repairman was able to come out the same day that I called. He arrived within the promised window of time. He was able to diagnose the problem as an electrical short near the outdoor unit which in turn damaged the thermostat. He repaired the short and replaced the thermostat all on the same visit. I am happy with how quickly they were able to send someone out and fix the problem. The only issue I had with this service is that they charged me $160 for a simple non-programmable thermostat that can be purchased online for $35. When I brought this to their attention, they declined to do anything about it.

It did not go well with Gembecki making at least five visits to the house to work on the AC. They made it clear that the warranty company was in the business of repairing not replacing. From 7/22-8/31 the AC never worked for more than 48 hours. They took pictures to send to the company for a buy out, but when Old Republic contacted me there was a totally different story.

Great. As usual, they were prompt, professional and proactive. John, the technician, took time to discuss our 2 systems and was communicative and friendly.
