Every time I take my dogs to the vet, they have been very helpful and comforting when needed. They were also affordable compared to other local vets. I would recommend them.

The staff and doctors are kind and professional. I prefer Dr. McKelvey who is an excellent diagnostician as well as surgeon and practitioner. I highly recommend this practice.

We have a rescue that is blind and has to be checked out quarterly. It depends on if they get shots or not, I have had visits that are free, and visits that are $200. He is marvelous. I recommend him to numerous people.

I have been using him for 14 years. They don't build on the price, they keep it as minimal as possible. I have had free visits. I have had them come in on weekends and take care of the dog. They get you in and they get you out.

My dog had seen Dr. Melloh for 11 years and I had no complaints until the euthanasia of my beloved dog.  He always seemed pleasant and the prices were good.  I suppose if one is looking for decent care at a fair price this is your vet, however for euthanasia it was a nightmare.  I was allowed to stay in the room but told to stay at the head of the table where my baby couldn't even see me.  Another problem I didn't find out until after the procedure is that many vets use a two injection method.  The first injection is to sedate and calm your pet and the second dose is to administer enough anesthesia to end the life of your pet.  They only use just the one injection here.  It is a brutal for both pet parent and pet.  The procedure was cold and uncaring and in the end I really don't think a bond had ever developed between my dog, myself and the vet I trusted.

We were asked to see this vet by the rescue group we adopted our new dog from.  We arrived on time for our appointment, after an hour and 40 minutes we told them we needed to re-schedule.  We were told that it STILL would be awhile before we were called.  Not once did anyone inform us of the wait.  The waiting room is also too small for the mix of animals waiting.  Out tiny dog was subjected to the bark of a huge dog 3 feet away.  Visiting the vet is stressful enough without a noisy and crowded waiting room!

We had an excellent experience, from making the appointment to check out. The team at Viscaya-Prado is top-notch!  We brought our newly rescued Quaker Parrot, Ollie to Dr. McKelvie this morning and he was extremely pleasant and professional. He handled Ollie with great care and we will surely use him for any future needs. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for great veterinary care.

Our Llasha Apso suffered some kind of attack which made him unable to stand, very despondent and in pain.  We had taken him to what was supposedly an emergency hospital for pets, but I really think that it is nothing more than a place for uncaring semi-professional people who for some reason want to work with animals which they care nothing about and make a lot of money, at least their fees are exorbitant!!  Anyway, Dr. McKelvie examined Nicky within minutes of us arriving without an appointment, he immediately ordered some tests and when he got the results he sat and talked with us and examined Nicky some more.  Although it's still not known exactly what happened to him, it was narrowed down to a neurological condition and not the poisoning which the emergency hospital thought it was.  Dr. McKelvie suggested a treatment regimen which we agreed to and have been following since.  So far Nicky is responding and while he is not fine yet, I believe that if anyone can help us to help him lead a happy life it's the fine people at Viscaya Prado.  At no time were we told things that we just designed to make us feel better, but we did hear the honest facts and were given realistic expectations.

We tried Viscaya Prado on the advice of our neighbors and have been very happy every time we've had to go there.  We've never been pressured to get more than we need and their prices are more like a country vet than a city clinic.  We will continue to go there no matter what happens with Nicky, because we believe that we're receiving the best care possible.

We really like Viscaya Prado.  They are nice, well-priced, seem very knowledgeable, don't seem to recommend treatments for our dog that are unnecessary and have also recommended some home remedies as well.  We'll continue to go back.

They have a reasonable pricing. I mean, cheaper than the other companies. Overall, they have an A grading. I am also going to use them in the future.
