Step 1: We are loyal Costco fans and found a mosaic tiile pettern @ Costco (yes, Costco!) that my wife absolutely loved. Like many things at Costco, the price was incredibale so we bought enough to do our kitchen on the spot.
Step 2: (admitting you have a problem) I don't know the first thing about installing ceramic tile, don't have the tools, and didn't want to experiment on my own kitchen.
Step 3:Researched local installlers on CraigsList. This was a small job...but I wanted high quality...could I find a local source?
Step 4;Greg called back. His quote was a bit high (I thought) but our conversation was confidence inspiring.
Step 5: Installation Day.Greg's crew arrived a bit late...but once we met them any concerns we had were dashed. From the
beginning, we could tell that these were Tile Craftsmen. They clearly has worked together before...they analyzed our product (the Costco tile) and our kitchen (they asked a few questions about our preferences, etc) and work began.
Their work was 4 hous of poetry. Their cuts were precise, every part of the installation was PERFECT. One measured and cut while the other installed...when they spoke (which they rarely did) you heard the most beautiful Portuguese. The end product is way, way better than we had hoped.
We are in a mid-rise condominium tower, and our new neighbors all want to know " Who iinstalled your backsplash?".
We paid a lot, but we got a lot. Nice work, Greg.
