Teds is a family run business, so communication is often on a next day basis. Once we understood that, things went very smoothly. Ted met all deadlines and helped with the additional projects of replacing all valves and converting the pool to a salt system.
Ted was a pleasure to work with and all his workers were courteous and professional. We are extremely pleased with the end result!
I knew I needed a new skimmer and he have me an estimate of $700 - $900.
He sent me a proposal, which I signed and returned to him on 8-17.
Since summer brings rain, which is not conducive to concrete work, he could not give me a date as to when he could do the work.
I completely understood this.
I received a phone call from his office last Friday, 9-9-2011 saying that I'm on the schedule for today, Monday 9-12. She could not commit to a time but told me that she would call me around 9:30 and let me know when to expect him. She never called.
At 10:30 I phoned his office, received voice mail, left a message and received a call back saying that he was not going to make it today.
I found this very unprofessional. When you call his office you never speak to a person. A message must be left.
Please keep this information in mind when dealing with this company.
"The customer was advised of the $200.00 leak detection charge when she called into our office. She approved the charge and a leak detection was performed. If other companies already worked on their pool and located the leak, why would she have needed to call us; or even approve our leak detection charge? The skimmer had been gobbed with putty by previous companies. Ted showed Ms Warner where the leak was and she was at this time very pleased that he located the leak around the previous repair. Ted could not make it on Monday unfortunately and advised the customer that he would be out in the AM next day. She was not happy with that and canceled her contract with us for the repair. Sometimes messages have to be left due to we are Family Owned and Operated, although ALL messages left are returned. We try to stay small so that we can give all of our customers the best possible service. Since length of time on a repair is not always known, a job may take us longer than anticipated. Ted will always give quality work even if it takes him longer to complete the job. Unfortunately another customer may have to have their day changed, but Ted will do the same for them if it was needed. We wish for all of our customers to be pleased with our company and strive to be sure that they are, but we are not perfect and do not claim to be and there are some people that we are not able to please. Unfortunately the customer seems to be one of them. We responded to this report because we want other potential customers to know that there is always another side to a story."
